Good morning Hive family and all the photographers lovers around the world, what I got here for you all today are some more new shots that I had taken at a local lake and on this day it was the epic day getting the Red Tailed Hawk swooping up an American Coot. I have been absent for a few days now, went on a little mini vacation with the wife, more shots taken of some places but with the phone only, still no new camera yet. Still pretty fun though to get out and get some shots but it really is hard not having a camera, phones are fun but really need new camera asap. What I have here today are some more shots of the Hawk and the Coot, these are just random shots, but worthy to show off here once again. Now lets get into these shots, the cover shot here is so nice, really love how this head shot came out of the Hawk in the tree with its catch, you cant see the Coot but I was getting head shots here in this moment and the fact that I got it with the nicititing membrane closed makes this a special epic shot for me. Don't get me wrong, love the golden eye look but this to me is a better shot than that. You have to be shooting at the right time to get this, I did it and very satisfied with the outcome. Now you can see in the next shot below, eyes wide open now, so you cant spot the difference on what birds do with that nicititing membrane. This shot right here is so nice, good detail on the feathers and for sure happy with it too.
Here is another cool ground shot that I had captured while it was securing its food, poor Coot but it is wildlife, so it is what it is. Another nice shot I am happy with on this day of shooting. I was trying to get low to get them eye level shots but it did mess me up on cutting off wings as it tried to fly away multiple times.
In this shot here, so nice but as I was saying above, I was so close trying to get detailed shots, that when it tried to fly, I was focused in to closely and not ready for the Hawk to do this, so a lot of shots with the tips of the wings cut off. All good, still nice to get these and try to remember what to do if I ever get a chance like this again.
Now the next two shots here had to be the moment when the American Coot met its demise. I am pretty sure, these two bites are what finished him, kind of sad but still its a sight to see this type of stuff in the wild. It may not be for some, but this is what we do in photography of wildlife, trying to get the action shots. Hope you enjoyed today's shots of the Hawk and Coot, appreciate you all stopping by, have a blessed day to all as well.
Anyways appreciate everyone feedback hope you have enjoyed my shots and post today' thanks for stopping by, Have a blessed one and thank you for coming in and checking out my shot's of the day. Stay tuned and enjoy my future shots in the world of photography, thru my lens.
