Epic Blue Mud Wasp shot #12
Good Morning photography world and Hive Family, today's post are of these epic shot's of what I believe is a Blue Mud Wasp or I suppose it could be a Blue Spider Wasp, do to the fact they look fairly the same. Now I really think these are cool, that blue color is like Kobalt blue or metallic blue and that is absolutely one of my favorite colors. What ever I can find I am shooting it with my camera, I doesn't matter to me. This is the first and only time I have even seen this insect too. What I will say is this right here makes me really want to get into Macro Photography because I can just imagine how awesome this would look like up close and I mean close like Macro style. This was captured from a distance with my 400mm Telephoto lens but still came out pretty awesome if you ask me. Let me know what you think? You like the shot's? Would you touch it, not me heard these things are mean and I mean very mean. If anyone knows anything different, if I am wrong about this insect, seriously let me know because I want to learn all that I can of everything that I capture with my camera.
A little info on these Blue Mud Wasps, is they are called the Black Widow Killer, these wasps always go for the Black Widows for their prey. Also know as the Chalybion californicum, in which is the common blue mud dauber of North America, the metallic blue species is such a site to see. They do say that they are not normally aggressive to humans but I'm good, not going to mess with it. They also say that it is very similar to the steel blue cricket hunter, in their shape, as well as their color. Crazy but they say the males don't have a ovipositor, which means they cannot sting. This wasp ranges from Northern Mexico to southern Canada, as it includes all of the United States. Other places such as Hawaii, Bermuda and many other countries you can find them as well.
Anyways let me know what you think, you like the post? Do you like the shot's? I had to have this firs one as the cover shot, I feel it is the most worthy one to show off. The others are good too but this is my favorite one of them all. Regardless appreciate you all stopping by my blog and post today, have a blessed one.
