Still Frames: A Quiet Walk Through Unilag in Black & White.sometimes,it’s not what you-it’s how you see it.
There are days when colour feels too loud.
When my mind wants less noise, less brightness, just space to feel.
That’s when i turn to black and white photography.
It slows the world down.
It gives you time to breathe.
So i took a quiet walk through the university of Lagos- not looking for anything in particular, just paying attention to what the lens could feel because it calms me in ways i don’t expect.
Black and white photography brings peace to me.
And these are the stories it told me, in soft shadows and light
THE LAGOON FRONT
The water did not need to be blue to be beautiful.
It whispered more than most people talk.
No waves. No rush. Just reflections and calmness.
In stillness, it told me everything i needed to hear.
EVENING WALKS
People walking home after class, the night himming quietly above us.
You don’t need to know where they are going to feel the calm in the pictures.
It’s not busy.
It’s just …… soft. And that’s enough.
Everyone’s in their own world.
But we’re all working the same path.
Unilag taught me that.
THE TREES THAT WATCH US GROW
These palms have seen more students than any of us can count.
They have been standing since long before i came- and they will still be here after i graduate.
That kind of quiet strength is what i want in life.
No noise. Just steady growth and wins.
Every picture here is a mood.
A moment( that i will always cherish)
A breath i didn’t know i needed.
Black and white reminds me that peace doesn’t always shout-
Sometimes it just sits quietly and waits to be seen.
