A Day to Remember: Exploring and Living the Moment at Plaza Independencia and Fort San Pedro Cebu!🗺️
Hello everyone! It’s me sheeniiee. It was honestly one of the most chill and fun days I’ve had in a while. Our group went to Plaza Independencia and Fort San Pedro here in Cebu City to shoot a music video for our project, and the entrance fee is 50 pesos for regular and 30 pesos for student if you have your ID of course. We chose this place because we love visiting new places and had the most amazing view. And it turned out to be more than just filming — it was a day full of little moments I’ll always remember.
When we arrived, the weather was just perfect. The sky was so blue, the clouds looked like cotton, and there was just enough breeze to keep us cool. Fort San Pedro looked stunning — the old stone walls, the greenery climbing up the sides, and the peaceful vibe of the place made everything feel calm and inspiring. We started filming right away, walking through the stone paths and capturing clips in different angles and spots. It felt surreal to be doing a school project in a place so historic and beautiful.
During a short break, we took some time to rest and explore. I bought a rose from a vendor nearby because I really love flowers, especially roses since it’s my birth flower. It added a cute touch to the day and made for a really nice photo prop too. We also took a lot of pictures while strolling around. The place had so many good photo spots, from the old Spanish-style structures to the blooming plants everywhere. Every corner felt like it belonged in a postcard, like the ones my auntie will always sent us from Florida.
After that, we sat for a bit, laughed over random things, and just enjoyed the quiet moments before going back to filming. It didn’t feel like a school task anymore — it felt like a mini-adventure with friends. We wrapped up as the afternoon sun started to go down, golden light hitting the old walls and making everything glow.
It was a simple day. Just me and my groupmates, a camera, a project, and a beautiful place. But sometimes, that’s all you need to feel happy and content. Plaza Independencia gave us more than a location; it gave us memories. I always recommend this place if you want a chill afternoon. Hope to visit here again.
Thank you for reading this blog! It’s been a pleasure.
