Hello All,
How are you doing today?

Welcome everyone to see my new post. Today I will share my tour blog with you and its about my trip to Chittagong and today, I'll talk about Chandranath Hill and Temple. I hope you'll like it.

Let's know a little about Chandranath hill and temple. Chandranath Hill is in Sitakunda of Chittagong. The sea on one side and the mountains on the other side, these two together make the natural diversity of Sitakunda. The height of Chandranath Hill is about 1152 feet from the sea level. There is a Hindu temple on the top of Chandranath which is known as Chandranath hill. Now let's go to the main story.

We all got up early in the morning and got ready and left for Chandranath hill. We hired a CNG to reach our destination. It took about 15 minutes to reach there from the hotel. After getting down from CNG we had to walk for another 10 minutes and on the way we saw these 2 temples. This temple is located under the hill. I noticed, that many people were going there to worship.

We all had breakfast below the hill.

Then when we were going up by foot, we saw these tombs and next to it, there's was a sculpture. I went there and rested for a while as the day was very sunny. Although there were many trees shade and wind.

After about 15 minutes of walking we saw a small waterfall. There are two paths on either side of this fountain that go right up to the top of the hill.

Peoples were saying that the left route is for climb up and the right sided route is to coming down so we chose the left side which was mostly raw soil when the right sided route had concrete stairs in most of the way.

Here I tell you that we have to climb more than 2200 stairs to climb this mountain.

At the beginning of the climb, we were all very excited and we all had a lot of confidence. As we were climbing up, we saw this hill. Although this hill was far away. Seeing that, made us want to reach it. While passing through this route, we saw many big mountains. It was very nice to see these mountains in the beautiful nature.

You can see in this picture that on one side, there was a narrow road attached to the hill and on the other side, it was full of empty space and forest and goes below to a long road. This road was the first step for us to climb up and we climbed very carefully through this inaccessible place as there is a high chance of slipping or stumbling.

Thus we had to go through these terrible roads. Also the mountain roads were broken almost everywhere and a little carelessness could lead to death. So we all put on good quality shoes there so that we don't slip.

Travelers used to sit in these tea shops to rest on the way. We reached this place and had a light breakfast and after going there we saw that a man had fainted there because he could not climb up the hill anymore. The man's physical condition was very bad. Seeing this terrible scene, one of our friends lost courage to climb to the top of the mountain. And my husband lost the will to get up. He told me many times not to climb up so I have to go down with him but I had a lot of courage and spirit to climb the mountain.

So I was going up, not going down. But my husband did not allow me to go up. So I went to him again and encouraged him to come up. Meanwhile our friend had gone down. Some other friends who were with us went to the top of the hill. And I stood there and encouraged my husband to climb up. At one point he agreed to go up. Then we continued climbing up from this place.

My husband and I were separated from the rest of our friends and they were far ahead of us and they reached a temple and waited for us. We both climbed up with a lot of courage. Although climbing the mountain was very difficult for us. My legs were aching but I didn't give up on this mission.

Then we crossed another step and reached a high hill and from this place a temple could be seen. We were very happy to see the temple because I knew that after this temple, the next and main temple shouldn't be too fat. We stopped for 5 minutes on almost every step so that we could regain strength to keep climbing.

This is the temple we saw from a distance. There was a CCTV camera installed on top of the temple for security purpose. I took some beautiful pictures at this place that I loved. The door of this temple was closed so we could not see inside.

This tree was next to the temple. I liked the look of the tree so I took a picture of it. Note that the branches of the tree were blocked with different colored pieces of cloth or rope. This place is a place of pilgrimage for Hindus. They come to this place and tie ropes to the trees. I don't know anything about this though.

Then we crossed another step and kept climbing. My feet slipped a bit while climbing this place although I didn't fall but I was very scared. The roads were very rough and terrible. I did not know that the mountain roads will be so terrible.

Anyway, after going through a tough time, we almost reached the Chandranath Temple. The temple was visible from this place and from a distance it looked like it would take a long time to reach there but I was wrong as it didn't take much time to reach there. I'll show more pictures of this place in my next post.

That's it for today. Hope you like it. Thanks for being with me.
