Regular control of weeds is necessary to ensure good growth and yield of gourd plants. Hand-pick the weeds around the gourd plant regularly. This is the easiest and most effective way. Use a compostable mulch such as straw, dry leaves or grass at the base of the gourd plant. It will retain soil moisture and reduce weed growth. The spread of weeds can be controlled by using biological weed suppressants. But such materials have to be collected from the local agriculture office. Weeding between plantings: Weeds do not grow easily if the soil around the plant is slightly disturbed or disturbed. When planting gourds, keep enough distance between plants so that each plant gets enough light and air and weeds grow less.I always try to keep weeds under control in my vegetable garden. The more weeds that can be kept under control, the more yield will be obtained and the plants will grow. So when I noticed my gourd trees, various forests were filled with jungle. That's when I decided to weed all the gourd plants in the area. Then apply fertilizer. Because suppressing weeds will give the plants a chance to grow to the right size. So I entered the garden. I started acting like myself.

Proper application of fertilizer to gourd plants improves plant growth and yield. Here are some steps to apply fertilizer to gourd plants: Before planting gourds, the soil should be prepared. 7-10 days before planting the gourd plant, make a hole 2-3 feet deep and mix it with rotted dung, TSP, MOP fertilizers. Mix 10 kg of rotted dung, 100 g of TSP (Triple Super Phosphate), and 50 g of MOP (Muriate of Potash) with the soil while planting gourd. Urea fertilizer should be applied at intervals of 15-20 days as the plant grows. The amount of urea fertilizer required each time is 20-25 grams per plant. Also, if the leaves turn yellow, additional potash and zinc fertilizers can be applied. One can apply organic fertilizers mixed with rotted dung and vermicompost once every month. This will keep the soil of the plant fertile and the yield will be good. The soil needs to be kept moist at all times for proper growth of gourd plants. However, care should be taken that there is no excess water.
