Insect pictures

Insects can be very destructive most times. Branches of cashew trees around have fallen due to the harmful effect of these insects. Well I was going to work today and saw this insect feeding on a branch. It had already eating the outer part of it and was going further. It eats the wood round until the branch breaks from the tree. Apart from the harmful aspect of this insect you will notice that the insect has two colours which makes it look beautiful. Sighting it from far and seeing that it is a little bit big I knew it would come out well if I took a picture of it. This may have been better with a macro lens and also a better camera but I had to make use of the little I have to get the best out of it. I was able to get the shot better from the side after trying different angles. The insect was very comfortable eating the wood as it made it easy for me to get closer to take the shot. People who saw me taking this were like why is this guy wasting his time but at least they saw the beauty in the picture after all. This picture are original pictures of mine.
