Who is Sergio Mendes?

Hello, I feel that it is time to re-introduce myself, although I have been here and been part of the community since the dawn of the times. You might have seen me around or maybe you never even saw any of my stuff because I get so many few views in here.

My name is Sergio Mendes and I am 36 years old. I was born in Portugal and I have lived there until my 24th birthday, when I moved to the UK. I have seen then lived here and London is the place that I call home.

Since a very young age, I have always liked to explore my artists and creative energy and not very late I realized that the best way and the way that I Love to express myself artistically it is through my photography. But in my not so short life already I have also explored other ways to express my creativity, including the creation of video.

What have I done online?

I would say, that a better question would be: what have I not done online.

You name it and probably I have tried. I am not going to get into too much detail because that would be very boring to you, believe me.

I can tell you that I have done from click to pay, affiliate marketing, drop shipping, blogging, vlogging and so much more. As I said, you name it I have tried it.

Not everything was bad and now and then I was able to make some money with it but never enough to make a living out of it.

For this past couple of years I have been able to go by, barely, doing everything, everywhere at the same time. It is not easy but it is the life that I have chosen.

When it comes to what I like to do and what I want to keep doing, it always come back to creating content that include photography and video. That is what I am really passionate about and what I would love to be able to be doing for a living. Preferably here on the blockchain.

Who is Sergio Mendes on the HIVE blockchain

This section could be very long as well and there are a lot to talk about. But I will focus on the high points and the future.

In these past couple of years the community in here have changed a lot. And to be honest, I have never left, but I have just been in my corner doing my own thing and not really been too active in here. The main reason to be, it is because it can be very time consuming and was not monetary worth it to me, unfortunately I have to make a living and I had to choose spending my time in other projects that were financially more profitable for me.

For all the new ones in here. As you might have got the type. I am an artist and a content creator. And all my time on the platform and all my content always came from that perspective.

That is probably one of the reasons, that since the beginning I have not made many friends and even made some "enemies" that don't like my perspective and point of view.

I would say, that my higher moments in the platform, were the times I was a daily vlogger on @dtube. If you are here since those times you might have seen my face around a couple of times. Along side with that I have always shared all my photography works in here.

What are the plans for the Future?

I am trying to come up with more photography and video content. I am not much of a writer to be honest with you. As you can probably tell by this boring ass post.

Want to be creating more photography and video content on the travelling and lifestyle category. Through out the years I have also been sharing in here some of the places that I visited and I keep bringing you reviews of restaurants and coffee shops I go. That is something I really enjoy to do and sharing with them is really fun.

For that to happen, obviously I will have to be able to make a living out of it and that is the difficult part.

In the past, I have quit my job twice to try my luck and create content here full time. Unfortunately, the Crypto Gods had other plans, and the timings I did that, although I was prepared and "stable", the markets dropped and since then I was never able to recover or even made it full time. Bad timings. It happens.

HIVE saved my life more than once

For those curious why is my Reputation so hight and my HIVE Power so low. It is the continuation of the episodes I was just talking about. Because I have quit my job and then the markets dropped. I had no money to pay my rent, my bills and even food. So more than once I had to Power down and cash out my HIVE rewards so I would not become homeless.

I have lost money and believe me I was never happy to do those exchanges. Because not only I want to make it for myself but I have always dreamt to have HUGE HP so I could be out here curating and helping other struggling artists like myself. Because in the many years I have been here, unfortunately I have seen many talented artists working really hard to make it, but leaving, because the community never really helped them.

I guess I went through all the important information and now you know more about me, what I have done, what I do and what I want to do in the future.

I really want this to work and I hope I will meet and join many of you in your journey in here as well.

The post, as I said have only a small amount of my photography and what I do. I like to think that I have very versatile and photograph a lot of different things. Because when it comes to photography for me it comes from my emotions. And I am not always feeling like to shoot the same way or even the same thing.
