Vegan Sweets made with Coconut and Potato

Friends, Happy Thursday everyone.

Today is also a beautiful day and the atmosphere is much brighter, although it has been beautiful all week. So, I hope this weekend will be more enjoyable. Because of the environment, there is an opportunity to enjoy more in any subject. And if it is in the field of food, then there is more interest in it.

Today I am going to share with you another one of my favorite vegan recipes, but this one is a little different but very tasty. This recipe is mostly prepared in our country on special days. This recipe is given more importance in the winter season and family functions. Because just as it is incomparable in terms of taste, it is also very easy to prepare and does not require a lot of ingredients.

This recipe is mainly made with two ingredients, one of which is sweet potato and the other is coconut. In winter these two materials are easily available in our country. Also, most family functions are organized in winters in our country, so this recipe is mostly prepared in winters.

I believe this recipe is great, you will like it because of the different ingredients. Because sweets are everyone's top choice, and neither we nor any event of our culture can be imagined without sweets. Let's see the steps to make vegan dessert with potato and coconut today-

Recipe Ingredients-

  • Two sweet potatoes
  • Grated coconut 1 medium size
  • 200 grams of jaggery
  • Rice powder 100 grams
  • Salt 1/2 teaspoon
  • Baking soda 1/2 teaspoon
  • Oil 100 grams

Preparation Phase-

First, I boiled the sweet potatoes with water, then mashed them nicely, then left them like this.

After that I put the grated coconut in a pan, then added jaggery, 1/2 teaspoon of salt, cooked it for some time, took it out after a nice mixture.

Then I added molasses to it with required water in the pan, burnt it like this for ten minutes, took it down after thickening the syrup.

Then I mixed the sweet potato mash with rice flour and a little oil, then mixed it with half a spoonful of baking soda to make the yeast.

Then I took a small amount of yeast and flattened it into balls and added the jaggery coconut mixture, that's how I made many.

After that, I put oil in a pan on the stove, after the oil was hot, I left them in the oil and fried them nicely.

Then I covered them with jaggery syrup prepared earlier for half an hour. After half an hour they are ready to serve.

See that they have swelled more and the amount of syrup has reduced, the sweets have become quite soft due to soaking them in syrup for a long time.

The vegan sweets turned out to be really tasty and our whole family enjoyed them with great gusto. It's really nice to make something like this and enjoy it with everyone sometimes.

All are my original photographs.

Thanks all.
