My Chicken farm and Maintenance || Homesteading Episode

Happy Tuesday everyone, friends.

Today started differently with quite a bit of rain in the morning but then as time progressed the presence of sunshine increased and the presence of clouds decreased. So, far the sky is quite clear and there is a good presence of sunshine. However, it is not possible to say how the environment will be at the end.

Today I will share an episode of Homesteading, which is about keeping chickens at home and caring for them. Although the issue of keeping chickens in almost people's homes in this region is very rare. Everyone tries to raise more or less chickens and ducks.

In fact, it is such a beautiful endeavor, one can provide meat for one's needs and also provide an additional income from here. Because chicken eggs are very popular in our country at the moment. A dozen eggs cost about $1.50.

But I haven't started raising chickens for a long time so I have little experience in this field. But I will present to you what I have or how I try to take care of chickens and share my ignorance. I initially started with 10 chicks but unexpectedly one chick died early on.

Later I found out that he had died of cold. I contacted the local agent and took his advice. Since then every month I have been trying to give cold medicine to the kids regularly. No problems so far and the babies, only 11 days old, are quite big today. With proper care, everything changes really quickly.

I feed them two types of food, one is nutrient processing feeding. It is a very common food in our region, everyone gives this food to chickens. But along with that I give an extra food that is mix food. Mix foods include, broken maize, wheat, paddy and pulses. They double the nutritional value of the chicken. Also try to give green grass.

Just as I feed them cold medicine to ensure their well-being, I also take great care of their housing. Since the chicken house is made of wood, I spread wood powder to prevent it from getting dirty. Then after two days I juice them again and add dry wood powder again. It works well and keeps the room free of dirt.

I am hoping that the way they are growing and getting healthy, they will start laying eggs very soon and I will get a good result from here. Honestly, there is great joy in being able to do something like this at home. At the end of the day, I am able to use my time well, it is very pleasant.

All are my original Photography, device Redmi 9.

Thanks all.
