Living simply with nature

When the weekend comes, it's a day when you can go somewhere or have a walk around the corner. I start my weekend with nature around me. I walk with my cousin early in the morning to the nearest grotto. It's about 30 minutes of walking to reach the place.

We started walking as early as 5:00 in the morning. Then this breathtaking view comes our way. The orange skies with a mix of dark clouds welcome us. In the background is the tall papaya tree and the silhouette reflection of trees and mountains in the area. Everything around is still silent; nothing but the chirping of the birds and clucking of chickens nearby could be heard.

After 10 minutes of walking, this beautiful cave can be found in this place. This natural cave is one of the beautiful wonders of nature that can be found in our locality. The narrow mouth of the cave has foot steps where people could go inside. People in the area will say their prayers, and everyone should get inside in silence.

Continuing our walk, I found this tall tree surrounded with climbing wild vines. What's unique about this tree its stem and branches form a straight line. It's hard for me to get closer to the tree because of the wild vines near it. When I took some pictures, I realized there was a cute little moon on the side. It's like telling the tree "I will be your light and shining armor". Just kidding 😊

We're almost there! As you can see, the foot of the grotto is guarded by a big tree. My cousin is bringing some water bottles with her because you need to go upstairs to see the beauty of the place. It's been a while since I climbed this grotto. When I was in my junior years, I usually went to this place with my neighbors and friends.

We need to climb these 78 steps to reach the grotto. Before you start walking, you have to decide whether to stop or to continue. Without a second thought, we continue. Because at the end of every pain, endings will always be beautiful.

While climbing, we stop in the middle and rest for a while. It's not easy to walk above, especially since it's not my usual routine to climb this place. The beautiful rays of the sun reflecting on us are magical. The simple trees around turn golden because of the reflection. At that certain point, I realized that in life, we have our own time that we shine so bright, even if we are simple, we just have to wait for our turn.

Viola! This is the magical view from the top. The sunrise gives a magical reflection on the trees and flowers around. Everything on top is amazing. The colorful skies, the clouds, the restless trees, and the mountains were glad to have us. It's nice to be back on top. After half an hour walking and climbing, this is what we've got. At the end of your pain, the wonders could be seen.

Just as life goes, sometimes we need to undergo pain to see the brighter side and to reflect on what's lacking and what needs to be done. I'm glad I found magic for this weekend. With nature around, you will never go wrong.
