My Fickle Sky
The weather in my city has always been fickle. As uncertain as a child in a sweet shop with an unlimited budget.
Normally, there are just two seasons.
The Wet and Dry seasons...
Nowadays, we've been accustomed to about twelve different seasons.
The Sunny Wet, Sunny Dry, Sunny Cool, Sunny Hot, Wet Hot, Wet Cold, and so on...
Sometimes it may just be cloudy all through, leaving you the uncertain person guessing which if the twelve would happen today and how you can plan your day in expectation of the weather.
I've been a victim of misreading the weather numerous times.
Although it's not my fault, for the day could start sunny, a perfect day for the beach and then you'd have a grim thunderstorm by sharp twelve in the afternoon.
Other days could look so windy and cloudy in the morning, perhaps even a little rain, then all clears up later in the day and you're dressed up for winter in the middle of July 😂
The sun during these days are hot and magnificent, creating lovely sceneries for pictures..
We're in the middle of the rainy season, approaching the August break when we're meant to have a week free from rain.
After being doused and drenched multiple times, I need that free week, yet I wonder if my sky would obey the natural laws this year.
The rain has been if anything consistent this season.
It's a good and bad thing, out of seven days a week, six and a half days are rainy days, with only about twelve hours of sun left in between.
The plants and greens appreciate this never ending bath...
...and they show it with their vibrant colors and rich scents.
Yet I'm quickly annoyed by the weather forecast whenever I wake up.
Today rain, tomorrow rain, yesterday rain, guess what?
Next week is rain too...
My clothes suffer the most from this as washing is a pain and relying on the cold damp wind to dry is a bigger pain😂
Quite proud of managing to capture this picture from a moving car... Not speeding but moving fast enough...
Although the rain does bring it's benefits too...
As the heat of the sun is greatly reduced and nights are perfectly comfortable without the use of fans or any conditioning.
As Nigeria is a tropical climate, the seasons are a hundred percent in both ways... So a bit of cool is better than roasting in heat.
Today, the sky remained as fickle as ever though, like a lady trying on clothes for a date, trying to pick which outfit fitted her the most.
The weather which was clear in the morning, looked like rain in the afternoon and had a beautiful sunset in the evening.
The previous picture was from this afternoon, the first picture was this evening...
... And this was in the morning.
As we can all see, despite how fickle she is, the sky is beautiful in whatever outfit she wears...✨
This was my entry into Day 2 of the #augustinleo monthly prompt posted by @leogrowth✨
As always, they have lovely prompts here...
If you don't have any ideas of what to write, I advice and urge you to give it a look 😃

It sounds much like the weather here in Ireland. Summer in the morning, winter in the afternoon, and coats in August. It's been raining almost constantly for a year, but when the clouds break and the sun shines, it's scorching.
Perhaps it's a worldwide thing then...

🙃You might be onto something there!
I caught myself smiling as I read this. Your words are beautiful. Don't be flattered though.
The weather fluctuations recently be pissing me off especially after I've made plans for something really important. Lol.
Awwwn
You said I'm beautiful 😍🥺
Stfu. Don't flatter yourself 😒
Ahhh
Language!!😂😭😭😭
The weather is not allowing us to read it, lol. And we can only keep trying to adjust to the weather as it presents itself each new day.

The climate is changing and the weather is becoming more difficult to predict. I have had my fair share of wrong weather prediction.
