Monday Walk

(Edited)

My wife and I are relaxing on the island of Pag on a beautiful sunny day with a temperature of 24°C. This weather is just begging for some kind of activity. At least a walk. So we went for a walk, not far, along the path that leads to the main road around the hill.

Actually, my wife wanted to see if the immortelle (Helichrysum italicum, a Mediterranean medicinal plant with yellow flowers that don’t wilt) and sage (Salvia officinalis, used in cooking and teas) were in bloom.
The island of Pag is known for these. Everything smells wonderful, and we really enjoyed the intoxicating scents along the way.

The skeleton of a bird, most likely a seagull — at least that’s what Grok says.

Typical stone fences that landowners use to enclose their plots. Just rocks and herbs — you rarely find anything else on this rocky side of the island.

We’re now at the top, on the island’s main road; it’s ten kilometers to the town of Novalja to the right and fifteen kilometers to the town of Pag to the left.

Let’s head back down to the coast, but take a different route — the gravel road. There are beautiful views of Pag Bay, with the Velebit Mountains on the mainland in the background.

Almost back on the coast.

And to finish off, a dip in the sea. It’s 16°C — still too cold for swimming — but in a week or two, if the sun keeps shining like this, it’ll be possible.

Está muy bonito el paisaje ,🤩 un poco arido pero no deja de ser hermoso , se asemeja con las cosas de vegetación xerofila del estado Falcón en Venezuela ..

Yes, this side of Pag Bay really is like a rocky desert; there aren't any trees at all.

I never cease to be amazed by all the beautiful places I discover through posts on Hive. Everything on the island of Pag looks perfect—even that poor bird that dried out in the sun! 😅 I’m glad you take the time to go out for a walk and enjoy these landscapes, especially when the weather is so delightful. I wish you many more moments like this my friend...

What beautiful photos, @seckorama! I love how you captured the essence of Pag Island; the contrast between the rocks and the blue sea is spectacular, you have an incredible eye for photography.
