Feathered Friends π· Pigeons and Crows π¦ββ¬ SMaP #261
Hello, feathered friends lovers! π π·
It's been quite some time since my last post in this community. The fact is, I don't always have the opportunity to photograph birds. There are a few in the urban environment, mainly sparrows, pigeons, blackbirds, and crows. If I take pictures with my phone, I have to be quite close, but they're shy and fly away immediately.
Yes, I know, I should have a good camera, not a phone! π«€
Here's a short bird story, or rather a photo blog, with more photos and fewer words, which happened two weeks ago.
I had some time, about half an hour, or rather, I was waiting for someone, and in the meantime, I went for a walk. Actually, it started to rain, I didn't have an umbrella, and I wanted to go somewhere under a roof, or for a coffee. But there was nothing around. I had to cross the bridge to the other side of the canal, about 800 meters, maybe less, on foot.
And when I was on the bridge, I saw pigeons and crows together, by the canal. I hadn't seen them together before, but they were obviously used to each other.

They took off and landed, and it seemed to me as if they were having fun together in the rain.

Then all the pigeons flew away. These photos aren't the sharpest, as I had a 4x zoom the whole time, but I added them because of the story.

They flew onto the bridge railing. I was at the beginning, and they landed closer to the end of the bridge.

As if they were posing for a photo :)
I don't know, maybe they were expecting some food?
That's my photo for the contest.

I took a few steps closer, but then they flew back one after the other.

And landed on the wet grass by the canal as before. But the crow was no longer there.

I crossed the bridge and went under the first roof, slightly wet.
That's the story. Thank you for your attention! π¦ π¦

Thanks. I'm glad you like it :)
I like this action shot of the pigeon flying off, and the other one coming in. Great timing.
Thank you. I tried to take as many photos as possible. But they were very fast.
I usually see these birds at the junction here in my area. Most people here love having them as pet
There are many of them here as well.
I think they are everywhere ππ
Demasido bello ver gran cantidad de palomas , los cuervos no.me gustan tanto ,π€ me sorprende ver esa gran cantidad de aves tranquilas sin que nadie las moleste
Because it was raining, I was the only one who bothered them. π
Okay, my friend, but he took those photos in the rain, and it must have been quite cold there.π§οΈπ§οΈ
It wasn't cold, it was spring rain. Koper (Capodistria) is a city by the sea.
Koper F.C ..equipo bueno , si pero ahora mismo es invierno en Koper y supuse hacia frΓo ..amigo Esloveno
But it's not cold :)
Here, we say it's cold when the temperature is below zero degrees Celsius. It's raining now, but it's 12 degrees. It's already spring π
I've never seen so many pigeons on a riverbank. How interesting!
Really? We have quite a few of them in our towns. City rats.
There are places here where they're abundant, but I've never seen them like this near the water in rivers. They're usually seen here in cities, parks, on rooftops...
Yes. It is a canal in the city that flows into the sea. Many different birds come here.
You have very nice photos, the phone can be very useful and these photos prove it.

Pigeons and crows are doing quite well together. π
