Diligent Bees
Hello everyone! ๐
I'm posting for the first time in the new Photo-essay community and I've chosen bees.
Not because we have an immediate association with Hive (well, maybe that's why, hahah) but last week I mowed my mum's orchard with the lawnmower. The grass was starting to grow fast and something had to be done.
In the orchard, fruit trees are in bloom, and in the ground, in the grass, it's dandelion flowering time.
Well, before mowing, I first went to see how big the grass was, to set the mower correctly.
What surprised me was that there were lots of bees on the dandelion flowers, busily collecting pollen and moving from flower to flower.
Of course, I had to take pictures of it all, I love bees, my father-in-law was a beekeeper as long as he could and I was often involved in collecting honey from the hives.
I also posted something about this about three years ago.
They were really hard-working, I must admit, they were grazing, taking advantage of every sunny day, flying from blossom to blossom and back to the hive to the queen with their little legs full of pollen. Wonderful!
I have to say that I have never photographed so many bees as I do now. I didn't manage to take any pictures of them on any other flowers that day.
A week or so ago I caught a few on cherry, but none this day.
They were too fast. And I think they know exactly which flowers are good for grazing.
Finally, two more photos of the orchard. One before mowing,
and after I've finished mowing. It's not the same angle, but it's the same orchard. :)
Thank you for your attention and I hope to be able to post more here when the opportunity arises.
Oh, yes, the photos are taken with the LG G7ThinQ.

I love dandelions! They are one of the first early food sources for our pollinators, as you have captured here so well! Great photo-essay post.
Thank you. Blossoms are food for bees, green leaves are food for us. ๐
Beautiful dandelions, beautiful bees, and beautiful shots.
I loved scrolling and seeing pollination at work. Something we learned about in school, in plain sights as you decided to grace us with these beautiful views
Thank you for sharing
Thank you. Looks like it's that time of year (here) when bees are collecting pollen from dandelions. ๐
Welcome to #photo-essay , great to see you here and thank you for your contribution.
Poor bees, now the bees have to go to the food shelter ๐คฃ, pretty nice orchard you have there.
Yeah, in a month or less, there will be other plants and I'll be mowing again...
