Copter 🚁 On A Mission

The day before yesterday, I was out for my usual daily walk when I heard a noise. At first, I didn't recognize it. Still, as it got closer, I realized that a helicopter was landing at the helipad nearby.

It all happened very quickly, so I will try to show it in the form of a photo essay, with more photos than words :)

Through the trees and bushes, I saw the helicopter landing.

A Slovenian Army military helicopter, well camouflaged, was painted to blend in with the local vegetation. What is it doing here?

It has likely come to pick someone up for some urgent matter. In our country, the emergency medical service does not have helicopters. Still, this activity is carried out by army or police helicopters on duty, whichever are closer or unoccupied.
I'm unsure why this is not a special service, as it's in other European countries, nor do I feel qualified enough to discuss this further.

Yes, as I walked on, I saw the bigger picture: there was an ambulance van and firefighters next to the heliport.

A person got out of the ambulance van. I had actually expected them to have someone on a stretcher, but somebody accompanied a person to the helicopter.

Once everyone had boarded, the helicopter took off.

I don't know exactly what happened, but I wish the person who was taken away all the best.
The whole thing lasted about 10 minutes and resulted in about fifty photos :)
