Beer Tasting 🍺 Terza Rima la Bionda

avatar

Hello, beer lovers! 🍻

How are you? Nothing special here, boring.
I envy everyone who is in Kuala Lumpur at HiveFest 10 and #beersaturday there. I want to be there too, but it didn't work out.
One of the oldest Hive Contests, 433 in a row, which has been going on continuously for eight years.

Today, I have an Italian beer, a large bottle, which has been chilling in the refrigerator while I was picking kiwis, and now I am going to drink it. I will be happy to share my experience with you.

I usually have two beers, but now I'm in a hurry, I'm going to a live event, where, according to Radio Student, which is a competent authority on music, three of the six best young music groups in Slovenia in 2025 are performing.
So there's only one beer here, and then another one there :)

🍻 😎 🍻

Terza Rima la Bionda

Brewed by Terza Rima, Serra San Quirico, Marche, Italy.
Bottle, 0.75 l, alcohol 5.0% ABV, IBU 20. Blonde Ale.

What do the Master Brewers say?

La Bionda is a Blonde Ale-style Italian craft beer with a hazy blonde colour. Fresh and mildly scented, with slight hints of cereals. It stands out for its intense aroma of fresh citrus and marked fruity and grassy notes. Terza Rima is inspired by Dante's terzina, or chained tercet, or terza rima, which is the verse form used by Dante in the Divine Comedy.

The beer is cloudy yellow in color, unfiltered, with a solid head that quickly dissipates. It has a fresh grain aroma. It goes down smoothly, with a slight sweetness of malt, a taste of bread, a slight bitterness of hops, and hints of citrus.
In the aftertaste, everything quickly fades away.

A fresh and very drinkable beer!
Very harmonious sweetness and bitterness with citrus notes in the background that elegantly complement the whole. It can be compared to some Belgian Blonde Ale beers.

Although it is a 0.75 L bottle, I could easily have another one.
Unfortunately, that's not possible, as I got it as a gift from a friend, and it's not available in local stores. Too bad.

I treated myself to it after picking kiwis in the afternoon.
It's a good harvest, but we'll have to wait another month or so. We had to pick them because it's freezing every morning now, and they'll ripen in the crates.

And what am I listening to when writing this and tasting beer?
Something from Friday's New Tunes selection.

Wow! Even if you couldn't make it to Hive Festival, it's great that you can attend this music event where you can meet these authentic bands! I hope you'll share some details about these bands later so we can get to know them!
About the beer you're showing us, I didn't know about it. I hope it's delicious. Thanks for showing it to us!
Sunday hugs!

Hey nice man!

Whenever I have one of those fancy bottles, they tend to live in my fridge quite a while like I need a special occasion to crack it open. I suppose it happens when you have draft taps at home and it is even easier to fabricate a fresh pint.

Love all of those kiwis! Reminds me I have to get out in the garden today if the rain eases so I can harvest a few dozen late season tomatoes and peppers.

Cheers to #beersaturday! !BEER

Cheers! 🍺
This bottle waited two months to be opened. But I had to make space for new ones; my refrigerator isn't exactly huge. 😂
Yes, when I read about it, they also say it's for special occasions.
There were a lot of kiwis this year. And apples, too, I picked them all week.

I have a curiosity. I have never had the opportunity to drink beers in such large bottles, almost a liter. What would be the way to drink it: in glasses? I know, for example, that in Peru, they pass the bottle from drinker to drinker, as if it were a bottle of rum. Cheers, my friend.

Yes, it is usually drunk from glasses :) 🍻
Such beers are usually of better quality, more special, sometimes aged, and, of course, more expensive. They are also suitable as an aperitif or digestif.
They are very rare in our country; I have mostly seen them in Belgium and France.

At first glance, the Terza Rima bottle is larger than other beer bottles. Its color brings a sense of well-being. With an alcohol content of 5%, it is not difficult to drink.

Yes, it's bigger than average. Bottle, 0.75 l, it's for, at least, two people. But I can drink for four. 😜🍻

I think it's pretty usual in Italy to find 0,75 cl craft beers in large bottles that resembles those for wine. Looking fancy, it gives a sense of a high quality product, and I'm sure it is 🍻

That's true, but they're not that common. Similar to here, they mostly have Belgian ones, domestic ones are rare. We also have few of them, except for imported Belgian and French ones.
It's also true that they are considered to be of better quality.
