Hello, beer lovers! 🍻

How are you? It's mixed here. It's been raining all week, not heavily, but everything is soaked, and we're more or less at home, in the dry.
In crypto, the suffering and bleeding continue. No one knows where we'll end up. But once we hit rock bottom, no matter where, we'll start to rise again. That's how it is in crypto cycles :)
Luckily, we have our own party here, #beersaturday, already the 449th in a row, which will help us get through this crisis. And we will come out of it even stronger!
Yes, I know these are clichés, but we have to hold on to something :)

Today, I have two cans before me: one German and one Slovenian. They are completely different! I am happy to share this beer experience with you. First, the one with less alcohol.

Erdinger Dunkel

Brewed by Erdinger Weissbräu, Erding, Bayern, Germany.
Can, 0.5 l, alcohol 5.3% ABV, IBU 16. Dark Wheat Beer or Dunkelweizen.

What do the Master Brewers say?

Carefully selected dark malts with a delicate roasted aroma give Erdinger Dunkel its full-bodied flavor and strong character.
It fills the glass with a noble, deep-brown sheen. The first sip reveals a harmonious blend of selected dark wheat and barley malts with first-class Hallertau aroma hops. Caramel notes, hints of nuts, and fresh-baked bread are evident. The traditional Erdinger yeast unmistakably adds its top-fermented accent.

The beer is dark brown, with a solid, creamy head that settles quickly. It has a dry fruit aroma. It goes down smoothly, and I can taste the sweetness and bitterness of roasted malt, with hints of caramel and a touch of chocolate. I didn't detect any taste of fresh bread or nuts.
The bitterness of roasted malt and hops lingers in the aftertaste.

A very tasty and drinkable beer! The balance between lightly roasted malt and hops is ideal for drinking. A true Bavarian classic!
It's available in local Spar stores for €1.80, so I'll be sure to stock up my fridge.

Lone Wolf Single Hop IPA

Brewed by Reservoir Dogs Brewery, Nova Gorica, Slovenia.
Can, 0.44 l, alcohol 6.6% ABV, IBU 68. American IPA style.

What do the Master Brewers say?

As the strong, fearless master of the wilderness, the lone wolf can be your best friend. Lone Wolf is the herald of the new wave of Slovenian hops production. We have used exclusively Styrian Wolf hops, and the result is a balanced beer with a distinct taste and aroma of ripe tropical fruit, melon, conifers, and citrus.

Reservoir Dogs is one of Slovenia's older and better-known craft breweries, having won numerous awards at international beer competitions. I've tried most of their beers, and they're good. I think they're fans of Quentin Tarantino :)

The beer is a pale amber. Even from the can, it smells of tropical fruits. The first sip goes down smoothly, and in my mouth I taste the dominance of hops, the intense bitterness of herbs and tropical fruits, especially pineapple, with citrus fruits more in the background.
The bitterness lingers in the aftertaste for quite some time.

A drinkable and tasty beer!
The bitterness is pronounced, but despite its 68 IBU, it is not aggressive. Styrian Wolf has a strong fruit profile like some American hop varieties, but it's balanced with herbal flavors and no sweetness. It has a high ABV, yet remains sessionable for an IPA.
It's available in local stores, but the price is high at €3.50. Regardless, I will be adding a few more to my refrigerator.
