Stuck at the Crossroads - Monomad Challenge

Hail to the Hive!

Well when I say crossroads it’s a junction really. A meeting of canals where the Birmingham and Fazeley canal meets the Coventry Canal at FAzeley Junction

We are very familiar with this spot and are here to get some work done on our new project boay ‘ Second Chance. ‘ but at the moment it is not possible to move the boats as the water levels on the canals is critically low due to a combination of not enough rain and leaks in the canals network system due to lack of maintenance.

We are close to a fresh water supply to fill up the boat with fresh water for drinking and washing etc ( the waterpoint is located at the junction )and also close to local amenities, groceries, pubs ( very important) restaurants etc so not a bad spot to be stuck in really, I can’t complain too much. We like it around here.

I’ve been so busy of late traveling back and forth across the country ( I should do a post about it as it’s a hectic weekly schedule) and have again struggled with finding time for doing my hive groove but I took the time to do some snaps as I fetched fresh water for the boat at the junction.

It was a nice day and the shots came out pretty good and it gave me the kick up the backside I needed to get a post done.

I’ve always appreciated the love I get from this community ( you guys know who you are) and apologies for being absent. I have been keeping tabs on you all though :)

Love a bit of #monomad 😜

Wow!... Certainly a "photographically beautiful" place to get stuck!... Glad to hear from you and that you are well, my dear and talented diver-photographer @scubahead friend :))!... You continue to work that magic with your photos, including tons of elements, taking advantage of lines, masterfully managing the wide angle of the lens, knowing when it is best to shoot vertically and when horizontally, and giving perfect levels of light, shadows and contrasts in everything... A round of applause and many blessings to you and your close people! ;)

Love the mirror effect of the water!

The canals are great for that as they are usually pretty still. Loads of opportunities for that mirror effect :)
