Forgotten Door to ? - Monomad Challenge

Hail to the Hive!

During our 11 day stay in Negril we stayed at three different hotels and I had the opportunity to take a walk along quite a lot of the West End section of Negril and as I have recently mentioned in a previous post, I was surprised by how many vacant lots and building up for sale in excellent locations. And then there were those that had been left apparently untended for a long time.

I mean this could be an entrance to an old temple in an Indiana Jones style movie. I mean it’s obviously nothing of the sort but it does make you wonder what it was meant to be an entrance to?

Clearly a lot of effort and care went into the design and building of this so what was meant to, or did, lie beyond?

These thoughts continue to run through my head as I continue my walk to the nearby restaurant ( which was absolutely amazing by the way ) and I can’t help but wonder was it a death in the family, lack of funds or some other misfortune that either halted construction or led to years of decay.

I will probably never know.

Love a bit of #monomad 😜

It does look like an amazing structure which most have cost a fortune but knowing the reason for the abandonment might be impossible because things such as these tends to happen everywhere.

Nice pictures by the way thanks for sharing.

Thanks @emrysjobber . Yup a lot of it here as well. Some of the coastal plots abandoned is heartbreaking 💔
