Hail to the Hive!

I’ve been doing a lot of early morning flights with the DJI mini 2 drone recently and have so far failed to catch the sunrise that I want to capture due to not dragging my lazy carcass out of bed in time. But the early morning sun did provide some other treats.

Because of the oblique angle of the rays I noticed as I got close to the local football ( soccer ) pitch that the trees were casting some pretty long shadows that I thought might just lend themselves to a nice bit of monochromery magig in a #monomad stylee.

So I spent a good portion of the drones battery life flitting around from one part of the pitch to the other and altering the altitude to see what I could grab.

The shadows were extremely large when you see the scale by using the goals as a reference stretching halfway across the width of the field. Made for a nice shot I thought. But the longer I now stare at the shadows the more they look like giant silhouettes of evil zombie bunny rabbits.

In fact I am going to stop staring at them now as it’s time for bed and I don’t want to dream about evil zombie bunny rabbits…..
