End of Days

Hail to the Hive!

They’re almost impossible to resist taking. I took a ton of them when working in the Philippines at the dive shop and even after seven years of living and working on the seafront I never grew tired of them. We’ve just spent 11 days on the coast in Negril Jamaica and again, on top of all the other stuff I was taking shots of, i still couldn’t resist them. We stayed in three different hotels while there so we had a bit of variety.

Sunsets

No matter if I was turning up at the bar, walking back to the room or just wandering from one point to the next you look up at that time of day and see it….and it’s a quick pat down to find and retrieve whatever device needed to capture it.

You could be chatting to someone you’ve just bet before dinner in the restaurant and look over there shoulder and it’s….”ooooh look at that!” Grabs phone and almost immediately they follow suit.

As I am now back at my wifes parents place in Jamaica I am going through all the shots and every few hundred pics theres a few ‘golden hour’ shots as they are known these days. So Tonight, as I sip on my Jamaican Dragon Stout, I thought I’d compile a few to share with the Hive Collective.

Don’t be shy, let me know which of these grabs you the most. I do love the engagement and the chance to share a few words and ideas with you all.

Thanks @lindoro . Sunset is a timeless thoughtful time everywhere and I’ve seen some amazing ones in the past in the most unlikely locations. In these parts yiu kinda expect a half good one lol

I managed a dive shop in the Philippines for 7 years but never found the time to get to Thailand. Regret that now :(

All these shades of colors you captured are magnificent, making for memorable postcard photographs of the site.

Dear friend @scubahead you have captured some wonderful postcards of that "golden hour" from the fabulous coastlines of Jamaica, I love that you and your wife are having a good time in the tropics...

They are all beautiful photos, but this one is "pure visual magic"...

It's a "capolavoro"... Looking at it, it's like being there looking at the sea from that cave or that grotto... Bravo!

I send my best wishes to everyone there!... Thanks for sharing dear friend!

I like the second shot best, because it is unusual in color and form.

Yeah that one looks a bit other wordly. Nice choice. I’m leaning towards the first shot but maybe its the beer memories:)

I like the first shot, too, despite the lack of beer memories. ha ha!
