Different View - The Emptiness Next to the Pyramids
Hail to the Hive!
While on camel back riding towards the pyramids I glanced over in the other direction to my left and the morning desert light kinda grabbed my spirit. So I took a moment to drag my gaze away from the pyramids and shoot some slightly different views than the ones I had come to see.
I thought I’d display them here and as I usually do in the Colour/Black &White community, I always add a third splash colour version into the mix to compare.
And as usual it’s a tough call as they all lend their own vibe to the images. I think the splash colour shots give it a ‘Mars’ vibe. The colour brings out the warmth of the desert and the black and whites as moody as ever.
These were quite a challenge to take as I swayed back and forth, side to side while sat on top of the camel. Trying to time the shots so as not to be at a weird angle and somas not to fall off, which I was convinced I would do for the first 20 minutes or so of riding.
Luckily I didn’t fall and managed to grab a few nice early morning desert shots. The smattering of clouds really helps these shots and they were literally all gone an hour later as the heat of the desert increased as the day progressed.
They really sort of cap off the shots and fill the palette as it were, scattering the light and rounding off the image nicely.
You can see what I mean about the Mars vibe in the shot above.
So, seeing as how we are comparing imagery in colour and black and white I’d appreciate any comments as tomwhich version of the shots appeals to you.
So please leave a comment below ⬇️ 👇 as I like the engagement with thise of you I either already know on the blockchain or haven’t met yet. Don’t be shy ☺️, I’m not.
Now I am a HUGE black and white nerd but I am leaning towards the splash colour shots in this selection. The ‘Mars’ vibe kinda works well.
What do you think?
