In my archives I found these photos of Budapest.

Budapest is the capital of Hungary and located at the Danube river. I think it is a very beautiful city which consists of two formerly independent cities: Buda (or German "Ofen") north of the Danube river and Pest south of the Danube River.

Today Budapest has more than 1.7 million inhabitants and is the third-biggest city at the Danube river behind Vienna (Austria; 2.0 mio.) and Bucharest (Romania, 1.9 mio.).

I only visited Budapest once, about 15 years ago and I think that I have to get there once again.
