If infinity plus one doesn't cause trouble, then infinity plus one hundred won't either. πŸ§˜β€β™‚οΈ It reminds me of the philosophical question "how many drops of water can fill an ocean" !INDEED! πŸ€―πŸ˜…

Some of those ones and hundreds might be infinities in and of themselves too. Well, a few drops won't make any noticeable difference, but that doesn't negate the absolute importance of all the drops that the ocean contains, for without too many, and there is no longer an ocean. 😁 πŸ™ πŸ’š ✨ πŸ€™

@savvyplayer might say again that there are infinite real numbers between 1 and 2, even if there are only 2 whole numbers between the 2 numbers (inclusive). πŸ€”πŸ€― They had been hosting Math mini-contests such as this 4 years ago even before I joined Hive! 😎😏

However, @savvyplayer said that they decided to take an indefinite break from such Math contests, where their biggest reason was that hosting such contests was taking them too much time !INDEED. πŸ€”πŸ€―πŸ˜…

Oh, I see. Yes, hosting any kind of contest can take up quite a lot of time, which is one reason that I haven't done so yet. 😁 πŸ™ πŸ’š ✨ πŸ€™

Every winner of those contests used to get at least 1 HIVE, where if there was no winner for a given day, the prize for that day got carried over to the next day. πŸ€”πŸ˜ŽπŸ˜

I definitely enjoyed those contests, and wanted to continue them if they didn't take too much time. 🀯 Most of the participants are (really) good in Math, and few participants just try to answer just for the chance to win the prize, which was still !FUN. 😎

It's hard to think of a way to make such Math challenges more efficient in terms of time, because it takes some time to create a !FUN Math problem, and especially the step-by-step solution for each challenge problem. πŸ€―πŸ€“

The size of each drop will have to be taken into account, such that there may theoretically be a "drop" that's even too small to be detected by a microscope. 🀯🀯 I wonder what @tydynrain would say about this! πŸ˜†πŸ˜…

While some active #Ecency users got disappointed with the change on the awarding of the #Ecency Weekly Engagement Leaderboard by Melinda, it at least gave better chances for active users that are between Top 11 to 50 on the weekly leaderboard to win (which is a 10% chance to win 4 HIVE and 500 Ecency Points for being within the Top 50). πŸ§˜β€β™‚οΈπŸ€“

It looks like the #Ecency dev team members responsible for the #Ecency Engagement Leaderboards simply count the number of posts or comments published by an Ecency user for the leaderboard ranking without taking into account the length of (and delays between) posts and comments !INDEED. πŸ€―πŸ€“

About half a year has passed since Melinda and some active #Ecency users noticed that some other Ecency users shot up to the top of the #Ecency Engagement Leaderboards quickly even with (very) short and similar comments, and nothing still apparently changed on how Ecency engagement leaders are displayed. πŸ§˜β€β™‚οΈπŸ€―

Indeed. I think that it would have been better to resolve the underlying mechanism that allowed useless comments to rise to the top, rather than changing the nature of the contest. πŸ˜πŸ™πŸ’šβœ¨πŸ€™

I think that Melinda could use (better if from the Ecency dev team) a script which determines the average number of words (or characters) on the comments of the Top 10 users on the #Ecency Weekly Engagement Leaderboard such that users with very low averages won't get prizes, !INSTEAD of changing the way winners are selected. πŸ§˜β€β™‚οΈπŸ€―πŸ€“

I think that in general, any contest that exists will have some people trying to take advantage of it, so the contest hosts should probably have the responsibility in adjusting their rules for the contest itself to be as fair as possible (to every participant). πŸ§˜β€β™‚οΈπŸ€“
