Entry #105 AseanHive Community Challenge: Beat The Heat
Hello aseanhivers! I guess everyone of us felt the wwrath of the blazing heat outside that those who have the time tend to escape to some cooler location to freshen up. Well, that depends on your capacity, on how deep your pocket is, right? Anyways, before planning for a getaway, there lots of things to be considered yet especially when you have pets and no one can take care of them.
Going to the beach and take a dip
When my daughter came home for a month's vacation, we went to a nearby seaside resort to escape the city heat. We stayed for 3 days. We went island hopping for 3 hours and they see to it that I wear a safety vest for my protection because I easily get muscle cramps when my feet is underwater.
Well, it was only short while and you go home tired yet happy because family bonding seldom comes due to family responsibilities.
Enjoy the waters until sundown
Last holy week was so hot that my daughter along with her hubby and child went to the beach on that Saturday afternoon until sundown. Granny me preferred to stay inside though.
Adjust my working hours
It's back to reality once again! I often do my research online at night because it's cooler and I can focus when everyone is asleep. :) Of course, with something cold beside my lappy! I prefer lemon with honey and yakult with lots of ice cubes to quench my thirst or other variation with lesser sugar content.
More ice cubes to keep cool
My daughter would buy extra ice cubes at 7k-11 store because it's more handy since our freezer is filled with frozen foods and a tray of ice cubes is just enough for Antonia's water bottle. The school even allow them to use civilian clothes due to the heat index. She's got her own handy fan too.
Home delivery and stay inside to avoid the heat outside
I perspire all over when I do the cooking because of the heat that I often have heart palpitations. I order via Foodpanda when this happens. I make the computations and there's not much difference either and lesser effort on my part. Just like on the above photo, I ordered 2 boneless bangus (milkfish), 1 pork sisig and 1 chicken sisig. Each of our own food preference. Lol! It's just like dining out while avoiding the heat outside and the heavy traffic too.
Elders should avoid the heat outside
Antonia made us her favorite sandwich delight when there are fresh ingredients such as lettuce and cucumber from the farm added with scrambled egg sprinkled with basil.:)
Enjoy midnight snacks with Antonia's Sandwich Overload
See, staying inside and beat the heat is another remedy while enjoying our time munching Antonia's sandwich overload!
My daughter also allowed her 29 months old son to take a dip in his bathtub at the front door and play before going to sleep. Kids just love doing this!
This is my entry #105 for AseanHive Community Challenge: Beat The Heat. Thanks sir @justinparke for initiating this challenge and thank you all for dropping by!
Till then,
Going to the beach is one perfect way to beat the heat. Just be ready to get tan once you visit the beach, hehe.
Yeah, getting tanner is not a problem.lol!
It's fun to be a kid for they can just easily jump In their mini pool!
Lots of food! Made me hungry Tita!
Dipping in the beach in late afternoons or even on the early hours is also a perfect way to beat this summer heat.
I prefer the afternoon dip for lesser sunburn though the young ones don't bother with sunburns but rather proud to beat the heat!😏
Haha! Kids really don't get enough of the sea. They are super excited!
That is really true, kids don't mind about sunburns or getting their skin tan all they care about is having loads of fun!!
Sayang ang papaya soap and glutathione for the adults 😍😍
I really don't mind the dark skin but age finally took its toll. I still prefer to be indoors to beat the heat. Of course going to the beach is very enticing with sinugbang fish n everything!
Love your Island hopping adventure Sis, that's one way to get cool...
Yes sis, magastos nga lang so dapat may extra budget din Tayo :)

Sarap Po Ng pagkain at kung paano tinalo Ang init Ng araw.
Actually, staying inside is the best. Heat stroke aabutin natin pag sobra pagbilad sa dagat before knowing it. Kaya ingatan din mga anak natin.
Opo ate, delikado Ang sobrang init. Salamat Po ate.
Going to the beach is no longer a possibility for me due to my worsening allergies. I blame it on my excessive consumption of poultry products. I was told to stay indoors and avoid the scorching heat of the sun, to eat lightly, and to chose and monitor what I ate and drank. I was also told not to consume dairy products, particularly ice cream, which can make me thirsty. Instead, I will drink more water to stay hydrated...Haay...wala na akong kakainin! Lupig pay Semana Santa.
It's best to stay at home with your condition sis. Keeping safe is still a priority. Water therapy nlng
I am a water drinker rather than a beverage. Thanks a lot, Sis.💞
You have some of the same problems we have. We don't have any aircon at our place, but it's never too hot unless you're the one doing the cooking. I also do a lot of my work at night because the house is quieter and cooler, and with everyone asleep it's almost like an office space, haha.
