A Typical Day In My Life To Keep Me Alive & Kicking. It Makes the World Go Round!
Hello there hivers! Wishing you good day everyone! Any thoughts for the day? We have been experiencing hot weather these past few days especially during the Holy week until today and I am worried because my plants showed signs of withering. Unlike in our place where the weather is cool and even if it's hot, our plants are still protected by tall trees around. Nevertheless, I see to it that our plants are well watered everyday.
Taking care of my plants makes my day
When my alarm rings at exactly 6 o'clock in the morning, I can already feel the heat of the rising sun and of course, it's time for me to water the plants.
These are some of the plants that thrived but the rest needed a cooler place so I left a lot of them in our place.
I like sturdy Ivy plants like the Philodendrons because it can survive hot weather and less care but they should be under the shades.
I have been wanting to have this plant but it's scarce when it comes to sprouting. Sturdy plants are slow growing plants. At last, the aunt of my daughter's best friend when we visited their place during our trip to Canlaon during the Holy week gave me this plant among others! You see, these plants were costly during the pandemic when almost everyone became obsessed with plant collection especially those with big leaves!
These are some of the sturdy plants I like and the more the merrier though I still can't afford the expensive ones.
Our Priority
First thing and foremost, my grandson is our priority. I take care of him whenever the couple goes to work. Luckily, we got a new nanny for him yesterday. We hope that she'll stay longer because helpers tend to be more inclined to go to Manila without thinking of the risks they're bound to! Antonia's nanny has been with us since her kinder days until we relocated here in Bacolod City, which is seldom nowadays though she couldn't come with us since she still have a daughter and father to attend to.
Sewing and DIYs
Sewing is a typical day for me. It has been my passion ever since I've learned to sew and I like to make handicrafts from recycled materials. For me, they're self accomplishments! On the above photo, I customised a "Lufin" outfit for Jai-jai from the "One Piece" anime movies. It matched his long curly hair! :) The photo was taken during the Holy week at the spring water resort.
Recycling an old denim to handy tote bag for Antonia and petite backpack for my grandson.
We have lots of bags but they like my handmade bags especially the crocheted ones.:)
I've have already gathered empty canisters for hair treatments which I will later convert into something nice which I will be showing to you soon.
An Ghostwriter Writer and A Blockchain Content Writer
I have recently done a research study for my client which took me 6 months to finish the book. Of course, content writing is easier here because I can choose my own time and theme in which Asean Community is one of my favourites!
This is all for now, this is my entry #155, re: My Typical day by @JustineParke and company. Thank you so much and thank you guys for dropping by my page!
Till then,

The heat really is too much these days, mama had the same problem with her plants, nangangamatay thats why she decided to move them somewhere where its protected from the heat. And now its doing fine po again.
Exactly! After all the efforts of taking care of them! The sturdy ones survived but my begonias suffered the most. They will sprout again ones the rainy season comes again. Fortunately, as of writing, a heavy rain poured for about 30 minutes! It was like an answered prayer from above! Have you noticed when it rains, the green leaves seems to rejoice and so alive the following morning. It's like a blessing from above! I have a wide garden at home and I have fully observed my plants so alive after the rain!
Thank you so much!
Despite the hot weather these days, your plants stay healthy and hydrated because you really made sure that they are carefully watered every day. The recycled tote bag is cool too. It looks like something that was bought from the store; this is a good way to repurpose old clothes.
Yes dear, some of them have been with me for years especially the Philodendrons. The snake plants, peace lilies and bird of paradise and a lot more were left at home which can survive the hot weather. Those plants served as our fence protector.
As for the bags, yes, you can be more imaginative when you do it yourself. Practice makes perfect and believe me, it could save your pockets just in case.
wow, @sarimanok you are such a green thumb.. I've got no luck in growing plants.. but we share the same interests, DIY and sewing.. love the bags you made 😍.. You are such an artisan.. I've never tried sewing a pull-string backpack, maybe I can try next time, can you share the process?! 😁 Only if it's okay for you to share your secret.. 😆😄
You can try your luck with plants again dear. Just grow them u der the shades especially when they're newly cuts and don't put too much water because it will tend to rot the stems.
As for my bags, practice makes perfect. In fact, this simple backpack is one of the easiest bags I've made. I will quote you when I make a post about my DIY bags. Bag making saved my day when I was out of budget which later became my source to let both ends meet.
👍 alright, I can try.. would love to start with tomatoes 😁.. I'll make sure to follow your tips..
It would be great to see more of your DIY projects..
I love your plants mother, they look healthy. You are very diligent repurpose the old clothes to nice tote bag, love it.
Thanks dear. Plants make our surroundings alive and it enliven my loneliness. they're similar to our pet dogs when they're always there waiting for your TLC. Our children build their own nests when they grow up which is human nature. Plants are there to please you when you're alone and lonely.
Bag making out of recycled materials is such an accomplishment because you can do whatever design you'd like to make and add-ons to enhance its beauty.
Your day is a perfect blend of purpose and passion! Waking up, immediately connect with nature by watering your plants, it feels so rewarding to be part of the rhythm of the earth itself. And sewing, how wonderful that you’ve turned a skill into a passion. It's not just about creating clothes or crafts, but about building something meaningful with your own hands.
Indeed my dear. Everything is perfect when you love what you're doing. It has been my passion to create new things using my needles and turning scraps into something useful. I used to do this when I take a nap. While closing my eyes, my mind is wide awake and imagining how I'm gonna cut and sew which of which comes first. It's like gathering your thoughts first before making your drafts, right? The result is quite fulfilling!
In my country it was also a very hot Easter! You have really taken good care of your plants, and I see that your days are very didactic.
We hope to see more of you and support the work of other colleagues. Best regards.
Thank you so much. Yes, they're hopeless without our TLC. Take care of them and they'll give you beautiful flowers and healthy green leaves as a reward! They're good for the air we breath everyday! I will surely do that my friend!
😁 Certified plantita 🌿 It's commendable how you cared for your plants especially in our hot season today. It takes a lot of effort and time. I wish your plants will grow and flourish. Also, the tote bags are very creative. You probably saved money by creating your own stylish and eco-friendly tote bag than buying a new one.
Thanks dear! Plants do make a healthy surrounding which is good for planet earth and that's the most welcome can contribute to mankind. Recycling is good too instead of throwing them away, right? Actually, I've made money by making DIY bags. That's what we call from rags to profit! 😁
That's amazing! You don't only help the planet, but you can also earn from it 😉 And it is also a good way to encourage others to recycle. Nice 👌☺️
