Welcome to my blog

This Holy Week I only attended two masses, the one on Wednesday and the one on Saturday. The latter, although it is the longer one, I like it because I bring home the holy water. This year I only brought a small bottle to bless, since I have last year's bottle intact. I attended with the company of my dad and one of my brothers to the largest church in the parish which is newly restored and was inaugurated for this Holy Week.

I did not know the pastor of this church and honestly I did not like his message either. I will not go back, I prefer the small church in my community where the priest's message is more profound and makes me reflect on my actions and my thoughts.

Esta Semana Santa solo asistí a dos misas, la del día miércoles y la del sábado. Esta última, aunque es la más larga, me gusta porque traigo a casa el agua bendita. Este año solo llevé una botella pequeña para bendecir, ya que tengo intacta la botella del año pasado. Asistí con la compañía de mi papá y uno de mis hermanos a la iglesia más grande de la parroquia que está recién restaurada y fue inaugurada para esta Semana Santa.

No conocía al párroco de esta iglesia y sinceramente tampoco me gustó su mensaje. No volveré, prefiero la iglesia pequeña de mi comunidad ya que el mensaje del sacerdote es más profundo y me hace reflexionar sobre mis acciones y mis pensamientos.

Today I wanted to go out, to see the ritual of the burning of Judas, the apostle who betrayed Jesus, which is a symbolic act where a life-size rag doll is burned as if it were a person made by the community. But it has been raining all day, winter has started and it looks like it will be strong. Tomorrow it's back to the routine, so I wish you a beautiful week.

Hoy quería salir, a ver el ritual de la quema de Judas, el apóstol que traicionó a Jesús, que es un acto simbólico donde se quema un muñeco de trapo de tamaño real como si fuera una persona realizada por la comunidad. Pero ha llovido todo el día, ya comenzó el invierno y parece que será fuerte. Mañana nos toca volver a la rutina, así que te deseo una hermosa semana.
