With rituals, celebrations and good food..

Finally the holy month is ending today and the entire month has been an awesome time period to get involved in religious activities that brings peace of mind. We often get busy and cannot devote time every day, so having this dedicated month with all restrictions, and rituals in place certainly helps to dedicate ourselves to practice a simple lifestyle and realize the real value of human life, bringing inner peace and harmony from God's grace. What we earn here, does not go with us, when we depart this world and we all have come alone and leave alone - every thing in this material existence is subject to death someday. But what's most important is that, we must follow ethics, never do anything wrong, believe in God's presence to achieve liberation from the material world and meet the eternal, spiritual abode of the Supreme Being.

आब्रह्मभुवनाल्लोका: पुनरावर्तिनोऽर्जुन |
मामुपेत्य तु कौन्तेय पुनर्जन्म न विद्यते || 16||

In all the worlds of this material creation, up to the highest abode of Brahma, you will be subject to rebirth, O Arjun. But on attaining My Abode, O son of Kunti, there is no further rebirth.

The entire month has been a blissful experience seeing some niche art using Rangoli, performed by our temple priest to welcome divine energy, attract prosperity, and even mark the auspicious festival of Tulsi Vivah.

So let me show you his magic, drawing these art spending a lot of time every day.

You can feel how these vibrant colors and intricate patterns brings joy and immense peace in us, cleansing sins.

And on this final day, I got up at 3 am, took bathe and went to the temple, to get engaged in the morning ritual. This is something I have been practicing since last year and I can say, there is big impact.

A special prasad is prepared in the temple premise and offered to the Lord and then distributed to everyone on this special occasion.

And after the morning activities were over, preparation started for the evening Bhajan Sandhya (an evening full of melodies of devotional songs) and Dinner.

This is one of the best part of our community - people step forward and voluntarily participate to share responsibilities to make the occasion successful - the true power of a community. In a community the major percentage would always be dormant, but the minor percentage are so active that, everyone enjoys the benefit.

The temple has been nicely decorated for this grand evening and as I am writing this post, I can hear the loud melody from my window. Soon we are going to join everyone and enjoy this beautiful evening with a nice dinner.....As I am getting older, I feel these rituals teaches the true meaning of human life. I have been capturing these images this month, to write this post on this final day of the holiest month.
