A few years ago, I didn't shave for about a year just to take some self-portraits. I didn't think it would be so uncomfortable to grow such a beard. I usually keep my hair long, and in a way I'm already used to it, but not the beard, which is uncomfortable even when eating. In the end, I didn’t make the photos I wanted. One day, I decided to shave, but before I did, I took these photos without anyone’s help, so I had a really hard time getting them even somewhat in focus, without a remote shutter release, not even a wired one.
Since then, I usually go a couple of months without shaving, maybe a little longer sometimes, but not as long as that one time.
Luckily, I still have those photos to remind me of those days.
