Poem Evening Song

After a busy day, the body is tired, Evening comes slowly, the sky is silent.

The sun sets in the west, Paints a picture in a colorful circle under the empty horizon.

Red, orange, purple touches mix, The eyes are filled with wonderful beauty, but still the thirst is not satisfied.

The birds spread their wings and go back, Returning to their familiar home, they hum in the light breeze.

The teenagers sit in the village's banyan tree, The conversation opens with the light of laughter.

The sound of the call to prayer floats from the minarets of the mosque, Peace descends around, the land is filled with silence.

The sweat dries on the farmer's forehead, The smell of the soil tells the story of his hard work.

The market closes, the shopkeepers fold their hands, yet the scent of the whole day's conversation remains in the air.

The last light shimmers in the river water, The nets are cast in the net, the dreams are woven in black.

The old man sits in the shade of a tree, In the evening light, he finds the memories of the past.

Children play in the field for the last time, Their noise mixes with the dust.

The house is filled with the smell of incense sticks, The mother's voice plays a lullaby in a gentle tone.

The evening seems to sing to the tired mind, Gives the gift of peace after a turbulent day.

The lazy wind plays in the hair, Awakens unknown poetry in the mind.

Night will come soon, with a fair of stars, Yet the color of the evening remains embedded in the heart.

This is a momentary but eternal illusion, The shadow that bridges between day and night.

So I sit on the balcony, looking at the sky, at the colorful pictures of the evening.

Maybe this color teaches me, how to live in peace amidst instability.
