Del Cómic a la Realidad/ From comic to reality (Esp/Ing)

Ni siquiera sé como llegué a esto, fue algo que surgió así, casi de la nada, y muy de a poco se ha convertido en una parte importante de mi vida.

I don't even know how I got to this, it was something that came out of nowhere, and little by little it has become an important part of my life.

El coleccionismo de figuras!!!
Pues sí, desde hace algunos años (para ser exactos 7) Soy coleccionista, en especial de figuras de acción de mis personajes favoritos del mundo geek (popular).

Yes, since a few years ago (7 to be exact) I am a collector, especially of action figures of my favorite characters of the geek (popular) world.

Todo se remonta como siempre a mi infancia, he sido gran consumidor desde pequeño de filmes y series animadas, así como de cómics.

It all goes back as always to my childhood, I have been a big consumer of films and animated series, as well as comics, since I was a child.

De mis favoritos desde entonces estaban Dragón Ball Z, Los clásicos de Disney, en los que destaco por mis favoritos Toy Story, El Gigante de Hierro, Tarzán, Hércules entre otros, los superhéroes en general de DC comics y Marvel, y el más importante de todos mis héroes, Batman, no dejo de recordar La serie animada de Batman de los 90's, de la mano de Bruce Timm en la que daba voz al hombre murciélago el sublime Kevin Conroy (en paz descanse) y el gran Mark Hamill en la voz del Joker...en sus idiomas originales claro está, aquí en Latinoamérica llegaban también con las voces de grandes exponentes del doblaje latinoamericano.

Of my favorites since then were Dragon Ball Z, Disney classics, in which I highlight for my favorites Toy Story, The Iron Giant, Tarzan, Hercules among others, superheroes in general of DC comics and Marvel, and the most important of all my heroes, Batman, I can't stop remembering the Batman animated series of the 90's, by Bruce Timm in which the sublime Kevin Conroy (may he rest in peace) and the great Mark Hamill in the voice of the Joker gave voice to the bat-man. ...in their original languages of course, here in Latin America they also arrived with the voices of great exponents of Latin American dubbing.

Todo eso marcó mi infancia para bien, fue una época dorada en la animación y todas esas historias y personajes aportaron a mi niñez valores y los mejores recuerdos que hoy puedo conservar.

All that marked my childhood for good, it was a golden age in animation and all those stories and characters brought to my childhood values and the best memories that I can keep today.

Todo lo anterior vinculado a la adultez, creo que es lo que a provocado esa añoranza por esos personajes y las emociones que me transmiten al recordarlos. Por eso empecé de a poco a coleccionar figuras, y el inicio fue con Dragón Ball...fui poco a poco con mucho esfuerzo figura a figura, pasando trabajo para conseguirlas pues desgraciadamente en mi país no se comercializan, no hay existencia de este producto, pues Cuba tiene bastantes limitantes y muchísimos productos no se venden normalmente como es normal en cualquier otro país, entre ellos las figuras de colección, por ende tenía que pedirlas fuera con alguien que me quisiera hacer el favor de comprarlas para yo luego pagarle.

All of the above linked to adulthood, I think that is what has provoked this longing for those characters and the emotions that they transmit to me when I remember them. Es un proceso que hoy al verlo lo siento pequeño aún, pero si lo pienso bien me he esforzado bastante por tenerlas, por hacer ese pequeño sueño realidad.

Con la colección de Dragon Ball, tengo personajes bastante conocidos como Goku, Vegeta, Gohan, Broly entre otros.

Comencé mi más reciente colección de DC Comics y sobre todo con el Cruzado encapotado como Pilar.

As I felt comfortable with that collection I thought it was time to move on to stronger leagues, more for adults and having as a priority my preference for Batman, which is my favorite character...

De mis favoritas en la actualidad son mis joyas Hot Toys de escala un sexto, mi favorita es la del Joker de Heath Ledger y también tengo por favorito mi Hot Toys de Batman Begins, son muy detalladas realmente, en algunas situaciones incluso parecen personas reales...
