A Welsh Reverie
This past week, fortune smiled upon me with the gift of a brief respite, a mini-break that led my steps to the serene landscapes of Wales. No sooner had I arrived than an innate yearning for movement guided me forth, a walk to unfurl the travel-weary limbs and embrace the new surroundings.

My path, a gentle meander over railway tracks, soon found its companion in the flowing river. It led me onward, tracing its course to where its embrace widened, revealing a tranquil marina on the opposing bank. The journey culminated at a stretch of beach, a joyful canvas where dogs, unburdened by worldly cares, frolicked in the receding light.

As the tide gracefully withdrew, it unveiled the estuary in its raw, unadorned splendor. Sandbanks emerged, sculpted by the water's ebb, and the rich, muddy silt whispered tales of ancient currents.

In this quiet unveiling, a distant pontoon caught my eye, where a cormorant, a silhouette of grace, meticulously feathered its wings, basking in the sun's golden benediction. The sun, a master alchemist, cast a shimmering veil across the water's surface, transforming it into a liquid tapestry of silver leaf, as if mercury ore had been poured across its expanse. Each ripple, each glint, a fleeting masterpiece.

My walk, a journey of gentle discovery, concluded with the breathtaking crescendo of a glorious sunset, painting the sky with hues that echoed the profound peace found within those moments.
I hope you enjoyed your encounter with nature and the sea
