How I Am Dealing With My Pet Loss Grief.

In January of this year I lost my best friend.

Fry was a mixed terrier dog that I adopted 15 years ago when he was a pup.

In that time, my life has been a turbulent mess, living various places, knowing various people, experiencing a wide range of things, ups and downs...

and Fry was with me for the whole ride.

His remains lay in a box with his name on it. His original collar and name tag in a frame.

Months have gone by and I have learned to go about my day without him in it. But I still have those times, when I linger on the memory of his last moments for a few seconds too long and I lose composure.

It was this year that I started dog and cat boarding. Essentially people leave their pets with me for days or weeks at a time.

So far it has been a rewarding experience for me as I open myself up to caring for other animals.

This is Lucy. She really loved running around the yard.

She also had a great puppy smile.

Zeus and Petey patrol the yard as a sort of Paw Patrol.

Winston loves smelling all the bushes in the yard.

Winston is very chill.

ATTENTIONIZE ME!

It was a hot day outside, so inside was best!

Yeah this is how I am fertilizing my yard.

Frank the cat actually cares about Petey.

I miss Fry everyday, and taking care of all these animals for a while and sending them home after is making me happy.
