"Traces of History and Wonders on a Weekend Together in the Netherlands and Zaanse Schans"
Our conversation was full of laughter and enthusiasm which made every detail of the trip special. Armed with maps and backpacks, we felt like modern explorers ready to conquer the world.
Landed in Amsterdam
As the plane landed in Amsterdam, we felt excitement well up within us. This city, known for its beautiful canals, classic architecture, and artistic spirit, welcomed us warmly. We immediately felt the rich and colorful city life.
Explore the canals and historic buildings
Our first day was spent exploring Amsterdam's canals. We rented bicycles, a common form of transportation here, and explored every corner of the city. Historic buildings such as the Anne Frank House, the Rijksmuseum, and the Van Gogh Museum provide insight into the city's rich culture and history.
The beauty of the windmill village of Zaanse Schans
We visited a cheese factory, the process of making traditional wooden shoes, and saw the daily life of people in the windmill village of Zaanse Schans. The majestic windmills gave a magical feel to the place and made us feel like we had traveled back in time.
Food adventure
The Netherlands is famous for its culinary specialties and we didn't want to miss out on trying some of its delicious local culinary delights. In Amsterdam, we tried stroopwafels, poffertjes and fresh herring at the city market. In the windmill village of Zaanse Schans, we enjoyed authentic Dutch cheese and delicious traditionally produced chocolate. Every bite is a new adventure in the world of Dutch flavors.
Immerse yourself in local culture
Apart from exploring tourist attractions, we also tried to dive into local culture. We took a windmill tour, took a wooden shoe-making class, and even mingled with locals in a traditional cafe. This allows us to see the life and warmth of Dutch society.
Sunset canal view
Our final evening was spent on the banks of Amsterdam's canals. The setting sun casts dazzling colors across the sky, creating a sight we will never forget. We sat by the river, sharing stories, laughing, and expressing gratitude for the adventures we had together.

Oh about that, I apologize for taking photos or someone's work, because when I was on holiday I didn't take enough photos, and I admit that I only took a few photos or other people's work via social media. Once again, please consider it. Thank You @livinguktaiwan
