PhotoFeed Contest - Portrait Photography Round 123 ~ Portrait of Farmers' Struggle
Hello....
In the PhotoFeed Contest - Portrait Photography Round 123 organized by @Photofeed, I shared a photo of a farmer hoeing in his rice field. Because I often go back and forth to the rice fields, I often see and capture the activities of farmers in my place of residence. In the photo I shared, a farmer is seen hoeing in a flooded rice field. He is wearing simple work clothes, a blue long-sleeved shirt and dark trousers, complete with a hat to protect his head from the hot sun. With strength and perseverance, he swings the hoe into the muddy soil, reflecting the hard work done by farmers to prepare fertile land ready for planting rice.
This scene depicts the initial process in traditional farming which is still widely practiced in various regions, especially in Aceh. Hoeing the rice fields is one of the important stages in land cultivation, aimed at loosening the soil and mixing it with water so that the soil structure is more ready to receive seeds. This activity requires high physical strength and endurance because it must be done in unpredictable weather and slippery and muddy terrain.
Farmers like those in the photo are food heroes who often escape the spotlight. Behind their simplicity, they have a vital role in maintaining food security and providing staple foods for the wider community. This photo is a reminder of the importance of appreciating and supporting the lives of farmers who work tirelessly for basic human needs.
That's all my post on this occasion, I hope my friends like it, thank you very much for my friends who have read this post. That's all and thank you.
