In the PhotoFeed Contest - Landscape Photography Round 127 organized by @photofeed, I tried to share a photo of Batu Jarang beach in West Sumatra. Batu Jarang Beach is an exotic destination hidden on the west coast of Sumatra Island, precisely in Pesisir Selatan Regency, West Sumatra. In the photo I shared, you can see a stretch of clean white sand that frames the clarity of the sea water combined with a backdrop of green islands and tropical hills that add a peaceful nuance. A blue kayak boat on the shore indicates that this place is very suitable for water recreation activities such as kayaking or snorkeling around the shallow corals.

This beach is named Batu Jarang because its unique coral formations, scattered sparsely along the coastline and underwater, create a fascinating ecosystem to explore. The pristine atmosphere and uncrowded tourist area make Batu Jarang an ideal spot for serenity seekers or landscape photographers. The distant coconut trees and calm seawater create a calming tropical atmosphere.

Batu Jarang Beach can be reached by land transportation from Padang City to Painan, then by small boat or along the coastal path. Besides its natural beauty, the local community is also renowned for its friendliness and commitment to environmental sustainability. With its pristine beauty and significant ecotourism potential, Batu Jarang Beach is a worthy destination in West Sumatra, ready to delight nature-loving tourists.
