In the PhotoFeed Contest - Landscape Photography Round 123 organized by @Photofeed, I tried to share photos about the scenery of Bukit Lamreh, Aceh Besar, Aceh. Bukit Lamreh itself is one of the charming natural tourist destinations in Aceh Besar. Located in Mesjid Raya District, this hill offers a panorama of the open sea that stretches wide combined with a stretch of green grassland that is soothing to the eyes. Its natural beauty makes Bukit Lamreh a favorite place for nature lovers, photographers, and tourists looking for peace.

The main attraction of Bukit Lamreh is the steep cliff that directly borders the Indian Ocean. From the top of the hill, visitors can enjoy the stunning view of the blue sea, especially at sunrise or sunset. This area is also a popular location for camping, as seen in the photo, where several tents stand facing the sea, providing an unforgettable overnight experience.

Access to Bukit Lamreh is quite easy with two-wheeled or four-wheeled vehicles. Many local tourists come by motorbike as seen from the vehicles parked in the surrounding area. However, visitors still need to be careful because some parts of the cliff are quite steep and risky if not careful.

In addition to enjoying the scenery, Bukit Lamreh also holds historical value. Its strategic location on the west coast of Sumatra was once believed to be part of a defense fortress during the Aceh Sultanate. Therefore, in addition to nature tourism, this place is also suitable as a location for reflection on the rich history and culture of Aceh.
