Pakistan Museum of Natural History

Hello guys. Today I will share with you guys an amazing natural museum of Pakistan which is in Islamabad. I visited this museum for the second time with some of my Hiver friends. The first time I went with a school tour in ninth class and now when I visited this museum again with my friends, I saw a lot of changes in it. My friend Taha in Islamabad studies at Quaid-e-Azam University so we had no problem staying in Islamabad. We stayed in Islamabad for two to three days and visited numerous locations but this museum was the most amazing.

We left the hostel around 11 am without having breakfast to visit this museum because this museum closes very early. Similarly, we had come to see it the day before but we were late and had to wait for the next day.

I went to this museum on the request of my friends because they had not visited it before and they were quite curious and excited to see this museum. It is quite a big museum and it has a huge collection of animals, birds and skeletons that increase knowledge.

In the picture above you can see that at its entrance door there is a skeleton of a blue whale which is 36 feet long and this skeleton was discovered in Balochistan. In the image below, you can see a map of the museum, a replica of which has been made.

The museum also had handmade replicas of some animals on its lawn, such as dinosaurs and Baluchitherium. The name of this mammal means the view of Balochistan and it was the largest animal in the world. It existed on earth 30 million years ago and its remains were first discovered in Balochistan. Further research revealed that this animal was a herbivore and weighed 20 tons and was 18 feet tall. It used to eat two tons of fodder every day and now it was very difficult for this animal to live in Balochistan because the land of Balochistan has become quite barren. In the picture below, you can see a baby zebra that has been placed with the help of medicines.

These are some crocodiles and below them are turtles. This museum also has quite large laboratories where the internal parts of these animals are removed and cotton is placed and medicine is applied on top of the skin and they are placed in the glasses so that no one can tamper with them.

Each object had a small card attached on which all the details of that animal were present. This museum is really great for both children and adults because it increases a lot of knowledge. It was a little difficult to capture pictures through these glasses because the light was coming from the front.

As you can see in the pictures, the hair on the skin of the birds has also been preserved in the same way and looks like a living bird. Here you will find all kinds of birds, animals and reptiles to see. In the picture below, you can see that the door of cave life has been beautifully designed from the outside but it was not allowed to go inside because it was not yet fully developed. Efforts are underway to improve this museum and add more things.

In this picture you can see a large-headed sea snake, it is also well preserved and you can read its name on the plate, how intricate it is. Below you can see a bee, it is a replica. Many such replicas were designed to make this museum look more beautiful and attractive, but the real things were inside the glasses.

This portion only contained stones of different types and plates were attached to them on which the name of these stones, their characteristics and where they were found were also written. All the stones were quite rare, that is why they were also kept inside the glasses. This museum has four floors and we had to visit it as soon as possible because we had only half an hour and we were trying to cover everything as soon as possible.

It may take you a lot of time to visit this entire museum properly because there are so many interesting things here, like this If I explain each and every thing in this blog, it may be quite lengthy. I will also write a part two on this museum in which I will introduce you to some more animals.

There were also some large horned animal heads placed here, which I think have been painted brown so that they will be preserved in good condition for a long time. Below you can see two large spiders, both of them are females. You can read their names and their lengths in the picture below. I saw such a big spider for the first time in my life and it was certainly not alive but it looked really scary.

Look at these butterflies, how beautiful they look, but it is sad to see them imprisoned in these glasses. When I saw this portion, I was really shocked that science has advanced so much that even the smallest insects have been preserved with such clarity.

I think that preserving these insects and worms is quite a difficult task, as you can see all kinds of insects in the pictures above. That is why this museum attracts everyone and forces them to look at each and every thing closer.

This is me and this picture of me was taken by @tahastories1. Look at the size of the ostrich, how big it is. I found it quite beautiful, so I took a picture with it. I don't know why my complexion is darker in this picture and the shirt I am wearing I bought in Islamabad.

Here we saw many more birds and different types of ducks, among which I also found the peacock quite beautiful. I found the cutest section of the birds, which included colorful birds and even their feathers were preserved very well.

The lawn of this museum was also quite large and there were many beautiful plants here, including various types of flower plants, and I really like such colorful flowers. Below you can see that I sat here and took a picture and @moaz-sabir took a beautiful picture of me with his iPhone. I am grateful to him for that.

Taha took a selfie in which we were all four friends and this selfie will always remind me of the beautiful day we visited this magnificent museum. I hope you liked the skeletons of different types of animals, birds, insects and aquatic creatures in this museum. Don't forget to give your feedback about this beautiful museum in my comment section. I will be waiting for your comments.

SEE YOU NEXT TIME 🌸

This is a beautiful museum with lots of interesting animals. Leaving early without breakfast indicates how much you wanted to explore there, and it was worth it as the experience learning about the animals would never be forgotten.
Thanks for sharing. The dinosaurs 🦕 and ostrich are really huge.
