Memories with friends at Delhi Gate, Lahore | Throwback Thursday

Hello guys. I hope you are all well. I have come to this community after a long time to share a very beautiful memory with you all. Three months ago I went to Lahore for the second time with my friends. The first time I also went with my friends and I like Lahore very much because there are very old buildings and many old things to see there.

I went to Lahore with my three hiver friends and our tour was only for one day because we didn’t plan to spend the night there, so we tried to visit more locations in one day. In the picture below, you can see that this is a police station in Lahore and this police station is in front of Delhi Gate. It's also very old and you can see from its carvings and its strong walls.

Delhi Gate is very famous and when I first saw it I was very happy because it was the first time I saw it in real life. You can see that a flag has been placed on top of it and its gate is arched. When I went near it I saw that its walls are very strong and small bricks have been used in it. When we entered the gate, it was very crowded inside and I could not capture the pictures properly.

On top I found a colorful and simple chandelier and colorful windows. Its walls were very thick and that is why it is still standing. My friends were ahead of me because I was busy taking pictures behind and they were calling me to move quickly and not get lost.😄 Those memories are very memorable for me.

There were many paintings and shops in Delhi Gate. The shops were closed and I did not take pictures of the paintings while entering because it was very crowded. Now we moved forward and I saw many old homes which were mostly made of wood and their designs were very old. My two friends were walking ahead because they had been to this place before but Taha was walking with me and telling me that you should visit at your leisure, there is no hurry.

There were a lot of people here, in fact, the entire Lahore is very densely populated and that is why the weather here becomes very bad in winter and the fog becomes very thick. Now we came to the narrow streets of Lahore. I was very fond of wandering in these narrow streets of Lahore and finally that day I got a chance to see these streets.

These streets are very narrow and the houses of the people were very high and it was really amazing. Two bikes cannot pass together in these streets. Taha was telling me that this shop is in this street and this shop is in this street but I was just listening to him and looking at these narrow streets.

Now I saw a old door that was giving an ancient vibes. The walls were made of mud and the door was made of wood and painted green. Two vases were placed on both sides of the door and a lamp was placed above it. I asked @tahastories1 to take a picture of me and he took a good one. Here was just me and taha because my other two friends had gotten separated from us in the crowd.

Now we went to a street called Andron Gali or Sabeel Wali Gali and it is a very famous street. This street was decorated in an old style with lots of flower plants and some old wheels painted in blue. Taha told me that earlier this street was even more beautiful but now it is not taken care of much.

Now we were going back and while passing through Delhi Gate again, I took some pictures of the paintings because I really like art and such beautiful paintings. In the picture below you can see a painting of a Masjid. This masjid is also located in Lahore. There were many paintings and decoration pieces on the walls of Delhi Gate which made it more beautiful.

I asked Taha to take a picture of me in front of this wall. I hope you enjoyed to see my all my pictures and read about my trip. These are very beautiful memories for me and now I have saved it forever on Hive. Don't forget to give me your opinion about the Delhi Gate. I will be waiting for your feedback.
Best Wishes for you guys.

Greetings, friend. What a wonderful experience you're sharing with us. At the same time, everything there is impressive. I'm sure it's been there for many years, and everything is still preserved. The structures are perfect, and I'm sure it'll be worth visiting again and again. I hope you continue to enjoy all those trips.

Yeah, All the old houses in front of Delhi Gate, mostly made of wood, are still standing, but if any historical place falls into disrepair, it is repaired in the old way.
