another view of the mississippi river flooding
The river has finally crested; still, the gushing waters continue to fly by the local park nestled along the Mississippi River. Things should be moving back to normal; once complete, the trail rebuilds and riverfront restorations begin again. Spring was an interesting one this year...hopefully, the weather will stay more balanced here on out!

Wow the swollen river reminds me of Lake Ontario a few years back. Down at the yacht club where we raced sailboats, even the parking lot was under water. They were smart enough to have the club elevated a little but it was amazing how the spring thaw was so huge and how long it took to get back to normal. Months.
Imagine how much water that it to bring such large bodies of water up a few feet!
