When walking around downtown La Crosse, it's always fun to look up at the old buildings in the area. The town was established in city was initially established in 1841; this happens to be the back side of a building built in 1881. Who doesn't like old buildings to photograph in black and white??

That's a nice urban shot. I love stairs like this, but I never really gotten a good shot like this one.

i must say I struggle with urban stuff for some reason...I don't know if i'm self-conscious or what when worrying about people walking by me. This spot is in a narrow alley that wasn't frequented much by others...so it allowed me to not be in such a hurry to find this one.

It is tricky taking snapshots in the city. Vancouver is fairly touristy, has a large population of 'content creators' or artsy types, and a thriving movie industry, so it's not so unusual to see people with cameras throughout the city. I avoid taking pictures when people are too close and their faces are too clear, but I'm okay if they're at a distance or facing away from me. Sometimes, it's the people who make the image interesting.
