I continue to share with you my walk through the exhibition rooms and gardens of the Park der Gärten. This beautiful park is located in Bad Zwischenahn, Lower Saxony.

There are 45 exhibition gardens in the Park der Gärten and only one of them bears a personal name: the Ernst Pagels Garden. Ernst Pagels was a renowned German gardener and a student and follower of Karl Foerster, one of the leading figures in German horticulture. At the entrance of the garden, a sign proudly displays his name. He was born into a family of nursery owners and eventually became a skilled gardener himself. After World War II, he fully dedicated himself to horticulture, promoting the ideas and techniques of Karl Foerster.

This garden features a wooden cabin. I also visited the cabin and explored the surrounding area. There are decorative flower pots placed around. They are identical in color but differ in shape. Friends, I don’t know all the plants inside, but one of them was definitely Fraser photinia, a compact and beautiful variety.

I always find inspiration here for my own compositions. Such beautiful wood slices with curved organic shapes... and a stone rose growing on one of them! Hung on the wall like that, it immediately gave me an idea. Right next to it was another pot, similar in style, but with spiraea added to it. A slightly charred piece of decorative wood was also used. At the entrance of the wooden cabin, small flower beds are arranged, forming a continuation of the main garden.

Right now, the garden might be at its most fascinating phase of the year. In autumn, it will transform completely as ornamental grasses take center stage. I want to sincerely thank the Park der Gärten for creating and maintaining this beauty for us. Everything is so clean, well-maintained and aesthetically pleasing. It is a true feast for both the eyes and the soul.

I hope you enjoyed this garden, this special room. I also hope it gave you a spark of inspiration. Wishing you all a wonderful state of mind and peace and kindness for our world.
