Avoiding electrocution!!

It is hard to raise a 17-month-old toddler with huuuuge amounts of energy and amazing dexterity in climbing up anything his eye catches. Lately, he's becoming interested in climbing up the window sill and gaze at the garden outside. That's why we need to be super fast and run after him so that he doesn't slip and fall.

Today, my little climbing monkey decided to climb up on the couch and try to put his little fingers in one of the sockets Trumpman uses to charge his phone. We have put covers in all of the sockets that are within his hand's reach, but this one was left unprotected because I had just removed the charger from it and Little Man saw me doing it and ran straight at it! I was right next to him though, watching him as he tried to slowly touch the forbidden socket with a cunning smile on his face. Of course I didn't let him do it, I pulled him away every time he got closer but he kept coming back.

And that's when I remembered that I had a forgotten power strip in a drawer somewhere, so Little Man got a new toy and his curiosity about sockets was partly sated.

He kept himself busy for about ten to fifteen minutes which means that he really really liked that new toy. During this time I was able to wash some dishes and tidy the kitchen table.

I can't stop looking at those baby feet!

They are so cute, I wanna pinch, and kiss and tickle them all day long!

Too bad summer is leaving and we're going to put socks on! I'm gonna miss looking at those bare toes roaming around the house all day!!

Fortunately, in Greece we have at least another month of warm weather, so these toes will be free for a little longer...

Tell me about it! I have a super-energetic 2.5 year old toddler and I am on a alert all the time. I usually avoid plugging in and plugging off things in front of her to avoid any development of interest.

It's a nightmare! Cables and sockets always draw his attention, but sometimes I believe he only wants to touch them because of our reactions. He may stand next to a socket, look at me, smile and wait for my "STOP!WE DON'T TOUCH SOCKETS!" 🤣 He even copies my no gesture with his little index finger

Lol, I have noticed that too. Even my little one tries to extract that no no no no, noooo out of me. And then she would just mimic me. Sometimes even during her pretend play she would tell her toy animals and dolls - no no no, noooo

Aaaaah... I spot a curious little man and how healthy at this age as he is now learning about his surroundings. It is also the stage every parent activates their sixth sense unaware... For him to fearlessly grow, you ought to be extra alert.

Sending you love 🔆
