Un dia conmigo en concierto en la Feria Internacional del libro de la Habana/ A day with me in concert at the Havana book fair

Hola a todos yo soy Rut y hoy les traigo un dia conmigo en concierto en la feria del libro de la habana.

Este ya era un dia agotador al estar tan temprano en la escuela porque teniamos ensayos y clases y despues sobre la 1 de la tarde nos recogia la guagua. Les cuento que la guagua se rompió solo a tres cuadras de la escuela ahi esperamos hasta que llegara otro transporte y nos llevara.

La feria internacional del libro de la habana se realiza cada año en el morro cabaña una fortaleza creada por un ingeniero italiano en el mandato de los españoles en Cuba en 1585

Al llegar la guagua el viaje fue bien corto hasta allí aqui tengo una foto del morro cabaña desde lejos que tiré en la guagua.

Al bajar llevabamos tiempo bajo el sol y estabamos mis amigas y yo hablando y riendo asi que nos animamos a tomarnos unas fotos de recuerdo.

La verdad yo no tenia ganas de ir pero las amigas siempre te alegran el dia.
No nos dieron mucho tiempo a recorrer la feria porque teniamos que almorzar y tambien afinar los instrumentos ademas de hacer las pruebas de sonido.

Este año habian menos carpas que el año pasado y tampoco pude entrar a muchas.


De almuerzo nos dieron unas chucherias unas croqueticas, jamon ensalada fria y chorizo, ademas de una cajita de jugo y un pomo de agua.

No tengo fotos de cuando tocamos porque estabamos bien nerviosos pero aqui les muestro una de cuando nuestro profesor y el conjunto de cuerdas conformado por laud tres y guitarra nos tiramos una foto de recuerdo en las hermosas vistas que posee esta fortaleza.

Yo en este conjunto soy laudista, el laud es un instrumento arabe despues fue hasta españa y termina llegando a Cuba.
Interpretamos tres piezas

-María Isabel compuesta por nuestro profesor Diosmel Jacas. Esta pieza combina elementos de cada pais latinoamericano con los instrumentos del laud guitarra y tres cubano.
-Guantanamera es una pieza cubana conocidisima en donde los laudes y los tres se compartian las melodias y la guitarra nos acompañaba.
-Muñecos una pieza que para los cubanos seguramente hemos escuchado alguna vez porque sale en el noticiero cultural y es una pieza de Manuel Saumel.

Nosotros representamos al conservatorio de musica Amadeo Roldán que da la enseñanza a edades de 15 hasta 19 años.

Antes de irnos me tomé una selfie, y la primera foto a las hermosas vistas de la habana.

Al virar nos confundimos de guagua y tuvimos que bajarmos y atras venía la nuestra. La guagua solo nos dejaba en la escuela y al llegar a la escuela sobre las 6 de la tarde fui caminando hasta mi casa

Al llegar a casa me bañé, comí y dormí placidamente ya que la noche anterior no habia logrado conciliar sueño.

Hello everyone, I'm Rut and today I'm bringing you a "Day With Me at a Concert" at the Havana Book Fair.

This was already an exhausting day, having to be at school so early for rehearsals and classes. Then, around 1 in the afternoon, the bus picked us up. I have to tell you, the bus broke down just three blocks from the school! We waited there until another transport arrived to take us.

The Havana International Book Fair is held every year in the Morro Cabaña, a fortress created by an Italian engineer during the Spanish rule in Cuba in 1585.

When the bus arrived, the trip was very short. Here's a photo of the Morro Cabaña from a distance that I took from the bus.

When we got off, we had been in the sun for a while, and my friends and I were talking and laughing, so we decided to take some souvenir photos.

The truth is, I didn't really want to go, but friends always brighten your day. We didn't have much time to explore the fair because we had to have lunch, tune our instruments, and do sound checks.

This year there were fewer tents than last year, and I wasn't able to enter many of them.

For lunch, they gave us some snacks: croquettes, ham, cold salad, and chorizo, plus a juice box and a bottle of water.

I don't have photos of when we played because we were very nervous, but here I show you one of when our professor and the string ensemble, made up of laud, tres, and guitar, took a souvenir photo of the beautiful views that this fortress has.

In this ensemble, I am a laud player. The laud is an Arabic instrument that went to Spain and ended up arriving in Cuba. We performed three pieces:

• "María Isabel," composed by our professor, Diosmel Jacas. This piece combines elements from each Latin American country with the instruments of the Cuban laud, guitar, and tres.
• "Guantanamera," a very well-known Cuban piece where the lauds and tres shared the melodies and the guitar accompanied us.
• "Muñecos," a piece that Cubans have surely heard at some point because it appears on the cultural news and is a piece by Manuel Saumell.

We represent the Amadeo Roldán Conservatory of Music, which provides education to ages 15 to 19.

Before leaving, I took a selfie, and the first photo of the beautiful views of Havana.

On the way back, we got on the wrong bus and had to get off, and ours was coming behind. The bus only dropped us off at school, and when I arrived at school around 6 in the afternoon, I walked home.

When I got home, I took a bath, ate, and slept soundly since I hadn't been able to fall asleep the night before.
