🪁 🌈 🌴 When the Sky Comes Alive — Pattaya Kite Festival 2025 (Part 2)

Pattaya 2025.png

Four days ago I shared the first part of this series, and honestly, I didn’t expect such a warm reaction from the Hive community. Your comments and support meant a lot. Today I’m posting the second part — more kites, more sky, and even more of that unreal tropical energy.

The International Kite Festival in Pattaya 2025 turned the entire beachfront into a living, breathing gallery in the sky. Pattaya is already vibrant on its own, but during the festival it feels like the horizon itself joins the celebration. Giant sea creatures floating above the palm trees, cartoon characters drifting lazily over the sand, abstract air sculptures twisting in the wind — everything moves, everything is alive.

The festival takes place along Pattaya Beach in Thailand, and every year it attracts tourists, families, photographers, and kite teams from all over the world. It’s not just a local event anymore — it feels international in the best possible way. You hear different languages, see different styles of kites, and feel that shared excitement when the wind finally lifts a massive structure into the air.

If you bring children, be prepared — they completely lose their minds from happiness. The scale of some of these kites is hard to describe until you stand underneath one and see the shadow it casts on the sand. Even adults stop pretending to be serious for a while.

I don’t see much point in describing each photo in detail. Sometimes images speak louder than any caption. You can scroll, pause, zoom in, and make your own conclusions. Photography, especially at events like this, is about atmosphere. About color against blue sky. About movement frozen for a split second. About catching that exact moment when the wind and light decide to cooperate.

Of course, I could easily add another few hundred words just to satisfy the idea that a post needs to cross some artificial 500-word line to be considered “valuable.” But when a post is mostly visual, adding filler text just for the algorithm feels wrong. I’d rather keep it honest. I write as much as the story needs — no more, no less.

I hope these photos let you feel at least a small part of this tropical celebration — the heat of the sand, the salt in the air, the constant sound of fabric fluttering high above.

By the way, last weekend I visited the International Kite Festival in Pattaya 2026 as well. Yes, already. And next week I’ll share a fresh report from this year’s event — new kites, new atmosphere, new impressions.

Thank you for your likes, your comments, and your time. It never goes unnoticed.

I write my texts myself, correct mistakes and translate via ChatGPT (which is not a violation on Hive)! All photos were taken by me personally - I am a beginner photographer, so I ask professionals not to judge strictly.

Thank you for sharing these moments with me! Until new stories and new holidays! ✌️.

I have missed the first part of this awesome Kite Festival, but that's fixed now! 😃 You did a great job with those beautiful photos. The blue sky and colorful kites are amazing!
Having a yellow warning for strong winds at the moment makes me think why nobody organized something similar to this here at my place... I know some of the beaches in the area, the wind is blowing almost 24/7, and it would be great to see something like this live!

For now, I will enjoy your photos...

I have picked this post on behalf of the @OurPick project! Check out our Reading Suggestions Posts!

Oh my goodness 😍👏🤩… The spectacle of giant kites and comets is still going on, they are absolutely beautiful, bro. Another post that I loved 100%—the tones, shapes, and designs from the creators are amazing.

You know! I started looking on Aliexpress for the one that looks like a giant blanket, because I want to buy one for myself. If some friends manage to bring one to Cuba for me, I’ll show you.

This Saturday I went with my brother to fly one, but one of the ones I mentioned that are native to my island—I have to show you up close. Greetings and have a nice day 😉🤝🙏

This is such a beautiful continuation of your series. The way you describe the sky turning into a living gallery makes it feel like we’re standing right there on Pattaya Beach, looking up in awe. I believe the sky still has more stories to tell and i cant wait to hear them
