Currently we only have around 18k daily active users on Hive. Or perhaps we should say accounts, since many of these are bots. Maybe two third of that number are actual people? Who knows...
I think you’re being too optimistic — based on my feeling, it’s around 1–2 thousand. I mean those who actually write and curate. In Splinterlands it might be more, but I’m not sure.

it would be interesting to know for sure. I mean on the optimistic side even 1-2 thousand is actually kind of high. I saw a post about Polkadot the other day which had like 5 transactions in a day. Other chains also have these problems
