ATVing in Nature: Adventure, Mosquitoes, and Photo Tutorials

Hello everyone!

It's been a while since I've picked up a pen (or rather a keyboard), but life has been busy: work has swallowed up all my time, and there have been almost no days off. Finally, yesterday I had a free day, and my friend and I decided to take off on ATVs to breathe in some freedom and enjoy nature. It was just what I needed to shake myself up and recharge my batteries!

The weather was just perfect: the sun was shining, a light breeze was refreshing, and the temperature was a comfortable 28 degrees. We were racing through rough terrain surrounded by dense greenery, and everything was going great until we flew into deep ravines overgrown with grass. And then it began! Thousands of mosquitoes, disturbed by our ATVs, fell upon us like a hungry army. 😂
I had to decide in seconds from which angle to take a photo, and then run away from the thicket, breaking branches and waving off bloodsuckers.

Despite the mosquito apocalypse, I managed to catch a few cool shots: ATVs drowning in fern thickets look like from an adventure film. But, looking back at the photos, I realized that I could have done better. If we had left the headlights on, without turning off the engines, the pictures would have turned out more lively, with dynamic light. Well, a lesson for the future - I'll take it into account next time! Photography teaches patience and makes you see the little things that you miss in the moment.

We drove about 60 kilometers, half of them off-road, where every turn was a small adventure. Being alone with nature, feeling the wind and the roar of the engine - it's pure pleasure. I'm already dreaming about the next trip, and this time I'll definitely take a macro lens. There are so many details in the bushes - from dew drops to tiny insects - waiting for their moment in the frame.

These moments of freedom and a couple of good shots made the day unforgettable. Do you like active recreation? Share your stories or life hacks for shooting on the go - as a beginner in photography, any advice is worth its weight in gold for me!

I write my texts myself, correct mistakes and translate via ChatGPT (which is not a violation on Hive)!
All photos were taken by me personally - I am a beginner photographer, so I ask professionals not to judge strictly.

Thank you for sharing these moments with me! Until new stories and new holidays!

Maybe there was more rain and there's water accumulated in the fields.

They don't like me, but the 💤💤💤 is annoying 😆
