The Beauty Of Houseplants|| Kiss-Blog-Idea #84

The world is full of natural places and I have always loved a place with natural settings. I don't know maybe it's because growing up I was surrounded with different roots and herbs.

Whenever I visit a place with houseplants surrounding it, I immediately fall in love with that space. I learned that having plants around not only enhances the appearance of a space, but research also shows that it helps clean up the air by removing harmful chemicals.

Back then while I was living with my parents after we moved into our home, there were lots of weeds and bushes around which sometimes attracted snakes, scorpions, and so on.

After we moved in, all hands were on deck and we made sure to clear out the bushes and make it more conducive. Still we occasionally see some of these scorpions around. This made my mum decide to grow some houseplants. I think the first plant she grew was lemongrass. She explained that some of these plants can drive away these harmful insects as they act as repellants and it didn't take long before she added more. She planted aloe vera and many more.

She also told us that it not only acts as a repellant but also makes the environment smell lovely. Sometimes I will sit outside one of the trees outside my home breathing in the fresh air.

My family and I would also sit out for long hours with our mats spread under the trees to have our bonding moments. Sometimes we just lie down there and appreciate the beauty of nature.

Now in my own home, I also took after my mum and have houseplants around me.

The floor at the front of the house is cemented so I decided to add some of these houseplants to help beautify the place so it won't look bare.

The back of my house has some bushes that I sometimes clear and there I planted some vegetables that can be consumed. These vegetables have been helping me for a while now because I often add them to my dishes.

I don't think one can have too many houseplants. Some people not only have indoor plants but also outdoor plants as well. I think it all depends on individual preference.

I don't know really know how to be a minimalist when it comes to plants because truth be told I would love to have indoor plants as well but presently I don't have enough space inside my house.

Maybe in the future, I can decide to have more houseplants but for now, these are all I've got.

Thank you all for coming around.

When house plants are well tended to, it repels harmful animals like snakes and scorpions. House plants bring a lot of beauty to one's home. Perhaps this is reason I want a large space so as to have a beautiful view with some green veggies
