My entry for the show me a shadow contest smash round (389)

was just a regular day in the office, nothing really special going on. I had my chair pushed back a little and the table in front of me. The light was shining through the flouriscent and that was when I noticed how clear the shadows looked on the floor.

The office chairs gave a good shadow, each one throwing a different shadow, one stretched while one reflected on the wall depending on the angle. The table gave off a strong block of shadow too, making the whole space look different from what I usually see.

I decided to take a few pictures because it felt like a simple but beautiful moment. It’s not every day you stop to look at the shadows of something as ordinary as chairs and a table, yet they created a calm scene that was worth keeping.
